For the the country folk, I have no info, have you? Shiite islam has a clergy, the shah was about to squeeze them financially, so they will probably fight to the death … of their supporters. Of course, the IRGC (Pâsdârân) will fight, but are the rank and file as fanatised as their hierarchy? Finally, the army, the hierarchy of which must be revolution-proof, but apart from it?
