@wizzwizz4
I think the more common term for these is "360° videos". (And even this one wasn't fully 360°; I think this probably was a #VR180 video instead: https://arvr.google.com/vr180/)A lot more can be found via YouTube's "Virtual Reality" topic 'house channel': https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCzuqhhs6NWbgTzMuM09WKDQ
YouTube even supports #SpatialAudio for 360° videos: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/6395969

I'm thinking of getting an Android e-reader, and hacking it to be less bad (probably by putting a lightweight Debian on it). Unfortunately, driving an e-ink display correctly is fiddly. Fortunately, Android has a Hardware Abstraction Layer, so in principle I can steal it.
Is there a way to use an Android's HAL with a normal (Debian) Linux userspace? Ideally with Wayland (though I'll gladly take X11). My search engine skills are failing me.

@dwagenk I wonder what would happen if you connected #qualnet to #hyperboria (which uses #cjdns).
