The melt-down by #Trump and #Hegseth over Congressional military #vets reminding service folk that their oath is to the US #Constitution, and that they are required to decline illegal orders ... speaks volumes.
Hegseth sees troops as toy soldier "warfighters," myrmidons, lethal robots that he can shape and polish and command.
Trump sees them as his private hirees, his Praetorian guards, required to be utterly loyal to *him*.
Both are dead wrong.
Now we need to prove it.
