Folks, with the #F5 boxes, I tried to tell you all, you’ve got to get the network security devices out of your networks, stat. They are all inherently vulnerable. In the past I would have said, well put a WAF in front of it, but now I just think that these are all ticking time bombs and you need to redesign your network to not have hardware that constantly needs to be patched and possibly has backdoors implanted that can’t be monitored and probably has bad actors running loose who are pwning all your stuff right now as we speak. I can’t even keep my gist library of all the discovered vulnerabilities in various manufacturers’ network devices properly updated. I gave a talk about this subject earlier this year and an entire room of network security guys was nodding along with me. So everyone knows the jig is up and it’s time to throw the inherently vulnerable F5 and Fortinet and Citrix boxes into the metal recycling heap. #InfoSec

Ever wondered how our universe began? 🤔
I'm exploring cosmic inflation—the rapid expansion of space driven by the mysterious inflaton field. My short, illustrative video clips represent key stages of this theory, starting from a hypothetical quantum field through inflation, quantum fluctuations, reheating into Big Bang plasma, and formation of tiny primordial black holes (PBHs).

If this the only server, then #Proxmox would be a good option for VMs and #LXC containers. Proxmox uses #Debian so you can #Docker or #Podman. Just watch your compute resources :)

Has any of you ever seen #WondLa on AppleTV? I’ve been binging all weekend. It’s an animated sci-fi fantasy about a future in which humans have retreated underground to be raised from infancy by robots and trained to survive on the surface after they’ve passed an aptitude test. Life on Earth was wiped out but returned using an alien technology which allowed an entire biome of Life 2.0 to flourish. Kinda funny that we’ve gone full circle. Used to be, in the olden days, you’d dial into your buddy’s BBS over 9600 baud modem dialup. Boop beep beep boop beep beep boop. You’re in! It’s a goldmine, filled with interesting discussions, the most niche possible, nothing like you could ever find in the mainstream flesh.
Then we went commercial. The ISPs, search engine portals, and big websites funneling people into massive groups of random amalgamation communities. No real cohesion or commonality, just a trough to feed from for ad monetization. Followed quickly with walled gardens of all sizes and shapes, and also questionable allegiances to community vs. commercial interest. Soon even these groups were torn asunder, and needed to find a way back…
And now here we are. Logging into our buddy’s federated instance with an AP protocol. At Toot toot toot at toot toot toot dot net. You’re in! It’s a goldmine, filled with interesting discussions, the most niche possible, nothing like you could ever find in the mainstream flesh.
