Ein Granular-Synthesizer mit so hoher Rate, dass Samples zu spielbaren Instrumenten werden. Baby Audio stellen mit Grainferno ein bahnbrechendes Instrument vor, das neue kreative Möglichkeiten eröffnen soll. Ob das gelingt, verrät dir der Test.
Ich kann mich noch gut erinnern, als Caspar Bock Soerensen, Gründer von Baby Audio vor ein paar Jahren zu mir sagte, es sei sein Traum, einen eigenen Synthesizer zu entwerfen und zu veröffentlichen. Diesen hat er sich nun bereits zum vierten Mal erfüllt.
Grainferno reiht sich hinter BA-1, Atoms und Tekno ein. Es handelt sich dabei um einen Granular-Synthesizer mit zwei Engines, einer 1,5 GB großen Auswahl an mitgelieferten Samples und einigen ungewöhnlichen Funktionen. Welche das sind und ob sich das Instrument auf dem hart umkämpften Synth-Markt durchsetzen kann, finden wir jetzt im Baby Audio Grainferno Test heraus.

Auf eine Liedmatinee im Landestheater Detmold folgte abends im Staatstheater Darmstadt die Uraufführung von Bracha Bdils Liederzyklus über Herzbergs Familie, komponiert für Megan Marie Hart, im Auftrag des Staatstheaters.
