I used an early gen #DasKeyboard years ago and definitely was impressed. Unfortunately at this point I’ll never spend anywhere near $100 or more if it’s not a hot swap board. I can’t ignore the value add of hot swap switch sockets. My #Womier was around $70 and it’s a hot swap board, with RGB, that came with keycaps and switches. -

Ease of use is a tired old trope for FUD against Linux et al for decades. This playbook is now being deployed against Mastodon and the Fediverse.
Choosing a server impacts what you see in the first 1/2 hour, but has little long-term impact. The cost of moving servers is low.
It is overstated in media. Let’s call this out for not being a good reason to worry about joining the Fediverse.
