One thing I found was super-useful for getting to know more #knitting and #sewing friends here was to follow a few events too - great posts on #fiberuary #memademay and #fallfinishalong gave me some more ideas about who would be good to follow. All very seasonal, but I have found some fantastic people as a result, hope that you do too

Last year I said I wanted to try brioche and double knitting, then did absolutely nothing about it! So this year I will learn brioche and double knitting (and possibly entrelac, inspired by the recent posts about this)
I have just ordered the wool for my mum’s birthday cardigan (luckily her birthday is in November so I have plenty of time) and I need to re knit my nephew’s Xmas jumper, as age 13 was still too small for his 11 year old self!

For #FiberFriday during #FiberArtClub week I have chosen wool as my favourite fabric (not massively surprising as everyone else has too!). These are some of my home-sewn wool makes - as you can see, I’m also a sucker for a fancy lining! All of these are quite different fabrics - herringbone tweed on the bomber jacket, Italian cashmere deadstock with moths for the duffel coat, Loden wool on the super-thick 60’s coat and Merino wool for the tailored jacket. #sewing #dressmaking #FiberArtCamp
