@ohyran @popey Yeah KDE Plasma Netbook layout is awesome. Too bad it did not continue in newer versions of Plasma. Well yeah netbooks are not so popular anymore. Anyways. i still use my HP Mini 110 from time to time and I still love Plasma Netbook on it :) It later got merged with Plasma Active into Plasma Mobile we have today. Maybe I should try to get that one running on this little lappy :)

This quote, more than anything else in the interview, reveals Turner's biases. The 1960s #NewLeft was an incredibly broad movement, including everyone from Black Panthers, to the rock'n'roll and psychedelic set, second-wave feminist, SDS, yippies, organics commune-ists etc. Basically everyone *except* the Marxist-Leninists and establishment liberals Turner now claims were the real New Left. Revisionist rubbish.

Currently in Gothenburg theres #GothiaCup basically a kids/teens international football tournament, going since the 70's its considered one of the biggest international football tournaments due to its size... And its amazing, and a pain :)
The pain because the city is filled with teens and the trams stink of hormones, dreams and Axe bodyspray.
Amazing because kids from all over the world get economic support to fly here and compete against each other.Photo of the Palestinian boys team.

Reading a long form interview with Lars Trägårdh the guy in charge of making a Swedish cultural cannon. A job ordered from the right wing.
And at first I am kinda charmed by his academical rebelliousness but the further I get in to it there's a Hobbesian centrism that shines through between talks of individual liberties.
And now I am even more freaked out by the whole project.

There's this song sung every night at Vulpurgis by student choirs during the fires at night called "Longing for nature" about the passing of winter and dreaming back to the woods in summer.
Had to check up a bit about the song - the writer Herman Sätherberg wrote it in the 1830's about his favourite place outside of Stockholm which is a stones throw away from the little shitty non-licensed house my family used to stay for long cheap summer holidays.

So the kid was tried as an adult and got life in prison. And manslaughter is when you do something so dumb or badly that you cause the death of others - but I assumed that was when there wasn't another level of moral/ethical autonomy in between?
Since the son is an adult - he is the morally culpable. And if he's not, he wouldn't have been tried as an adult surely?Is what I thought wrongly obv but how?

En populärvetenskaplig introduktion till det kända och okända under tusentals år kommer inte träffa alla områden man vill veta, det kommer innehålla spekulation och fantasin att dom ska liksom "plocka bort alla träd" för att det inte fanns 10k år sen MEN samtidigt vara på samma plats som skelettdelar hittades är snarare ett tecken att vissa arkeologer nog borde slappna av litet.
