What I feel is missing is a questionnaire to users that received the warning on their phones, whether they reacted to the warning, preparing for shaking and whether it changed the actual effects on their well-being/survival.

Pół internetu (linuxowego) się obsrywa ze szczęścia, bo m$ ogłosił, że po CloudFailu będzie zmieniał politykę dostępu do jądra systemowego. Co powinno wymieść z rynku anti-cheaty kernelowe (które blokują kompatybilność z protonem/wine). Problem w tym, że oni (m$) już to próbowali zrobić kilka lat temu, i był taki opór, że się poddali.... więc nie ma takiej opcji, że nie dadzą czegoś w zamian. I tu jest pies pogrzebany. Przywalą jakimś nieudokumentowanym frameworkiem, który będzie działał obok kernela (czytaj: na tym samym poziomie), ale który będzie przeciwdziałał sytuacji jak CloudFail czy ten śmieszny anticheat od RiotGames (też powodował różnorakie problemy użytkowników, bo też działa na tym poziomie). I sytuacja nie dość, że się nie zmieni na lepsze, tylko zmieni się na gorsze, bo będzie 'oficjalna' i usankcjonowana metoda dostępu do systemu na poziomie kernelu, więc więcej dostawców tego typu malware(każdy drm i antycheat nazywam malware) sięgnie po te metody. Oczywiście nie jest w ich interesie udzielać informacji jak to działa (z przyczyn bezpieczeństwa, i dla ubicia konkurencji w postaci linuxa), więc pula gier, które świadomie wycinają wsparcie dla linuxa urośnie. No chyba, że aktualny trend dla desktopowego linuxa się utrzyma i osiągniemy jakieś 10%... ale biorąc pod uwagę jakie debilne decyzje podejmują amerykanie, szczerze wątpię, czy cokolwiek poniżej 30% sprawi, że będą brali to pod uwagę.
Koniec strumienia świadomości. Może to jeszcze przyedytuję, żeby było czytalne...
