My new ride arrived Friday. These Chinese manufacturers are raising the bar for the industry. This car is just amazing. For less than US$ 30K it comes with everything you could wish for, excellent design, great performance, all the technological bells and whistles (including lane keeping and 360deg view), and lots of space.
I'm loving every minute I'm inside.

Sorry Kyle, but the hole is deeper. What killed the kirky internet that we loved was not AI. That was just the last nail in the coffin. What actually caused it was sheer greed enabled by ineffective, corrupt and ignorant public officers who were either just complacent or downright accomplices.
Thankfully, some of it still lives in the #fediverse

The reason for it is so I can play podcasts on the dumb speakers connected to my #HomeAssistant
I created a text input field where I can paste the URL for a podcast and have it play. The problem is, those input fields are limited to 255 characters, while some URLs are much longer.
So I grab the podcasts with PodGrab, then feed a local, shorter URL to HomeAssistant. Works like a charm.

For those using #proxmox on your #homelabs, if you want to use cloud-init enabled images to create VMs, it might be necessary one day to pass a customized file to the VM. For this you'll need to enable the Snippets folder on you local storage.
Just run the command: 'pvesm set local --content backup,iso,vztmpl,snippets' on the Proxmox host to do it.

Had to open the mouse again. After replacing the switches, one of them - the left clicker - was slightly misaligned, requiring more force than normal to click and making double-clicking really hard.
One day I will be able to solder stuff correctly the on the first try, until then, I'll have to deal with the same of reworking...
