Battery electric aircraft have a lot of naysayers, but I still think this is a pretty cool all-electric demonstrator aircraft which can seat 30 people:

The production model is intended to be a hybrid combining its battery electric takeoff capabilities with traditional turboprops for the cruise phase.
I still think there's a world of 1-hour or shorter short-haul flights where a 100% battery electric aircraft this size are going to be possible soon.
