  1. @mskoett I like the idea of running #OpenShift Virtualization. I don't like the reality of installing it - it is quite painful. And I did the #RHEL standalone hypervisor thing and it is hard to scale without a usable control plane, which #RHEV has.

  2. @moreentropy interesting, and useful, find. I wonder if this is intended. The only mention I could find in podman-systemd.unit(5) was about user units:
For unit files placed in subdirectories within /etc/containers/systemd/user/${UID}/ and the other user unit search paths, Quadlet will recursively search and run the unit files present in these subdirectories.

  3. What are people using to manager their e-books?

Gave a try last night, but it seems to be very focused on comics. Also don't appreciate the talk of Kavita+ and would prefer something completely free.

Planning to take a look at later on

  4. My newly acquired OpenWrt One router is causing me some grief. It seems to revert back to the firmware it shipped with (24.10.0-rc2) when I restart it after updating the firmware and doing all the required customization. Will have to attach a serial console and see if it yields any details. I fear the storage is faulty :-(

  7. Heavily considering giving a try after has been causing some stability issues lately. I'm not sure if I'm ready to go back to a non-DE setup though (ran and back in the day). Niri sure is tempting though :-)

  8. I recently replace my 27" 4K monitor with a 34" wide-screen as the wider screen better suits my way of working. At the same time I installed the extension for and it really makes the window management in Gnome suit my workflow a lot better. Might event try out a tiling WM again some day :)

  9. Have been giving , and a try on my private laptop. Really pleasant experience. Only serious SNAFU was having to redefine all key-bind to work with on a keyboard.

Automatically handling displays with Kanshi saves me having to disable the laptop screen when sitting at my desk. Will have to try if it also works with

Automatically handling displays with Kanshi saves me having to disable the laptop screen when sitting at my desk. Will have to try if it also works with #Gnome
