"The Blue Dahlia" (1946) 2/4 - I imagine and as two automatons in a Daft Punk show, but where their mechanicalness compliments the icy remove of "This Gun For Hire" (1942), the star-pairing here feels underdeveloped; that - somewhere - makes sense insofar as this is an original script. The standout performance belongs to , and it is his character’s subjective auditory experiences, related to PTSD, that feel uncommon for the period.
