🐣 Momentan sieht man wieder häufig #Jungvögel auf dem Boden sitzen. Für unser Auge sehen diese kleinen gefiederten Tierchen vielleicht hilflos aus, aber das sind sie oft gar nicht.
Was für uns nach Hilfeschreien vermeintlich hilfloser Jungvögel klingt, sind in den meisten Fällen Bettelrufe an die Eltern. Denn diese befinden sich in der Regel in der Nähe und versorgen den Nachwuchs mit Futter. Die Kleinen lernen noch das Fliegen und halten sich daher häufiger als die #Altvögel in Bodennähe auf.
🚫Auch wenn man es gut meint, darf man niemals einen gesunden, jungen Vogel auf- oder mitnehmen. #Vögel sind #Wildtiere und durch das #Bundesnaturschutzgesetz geschützt. Außerdem suchen die Elterntiere noch bis zu 24 Stunden nach ihren vermissten Jungen.
ABER: Es gibt drei Ausnahmen, in denen menschliche Hilfe angebracht ist. Wenn der Vogel äußerlich verletzt ist, könnt ihr bei einer #Tierarztpraxis oder einer #Tierschutzorganisation um Rat fragen. Auch bei Vögeln, die noch nicht vollständig befiedert sind, ist Hilfe angesagt. Dann handelt es sich um einen #Nestling, der vermutlich aus dem Nest gefallen ist und noch nicht fliegen kann. Wenn ihr das Nest erreichen könnt, setzt ihn dorthin zurück. Falls das nicht geht, gilt auch hier wieder externe Hilfe einzuholen.
Bei flüggen Jungvögeln braucht man sich in der Regel keine Sorgen zu machen. Wartet ab und beobachtet mindestens eine Stunde lang, ob sich die Altvögel um das Kleine kümmern. Falls ihr aber Katzen in der Nähe bemerkt oder sich der Vogel an einer Straße befindet, könnt ihr ihn in Hörweite des Fundorts erhöht vorsichtig ins nächste Gebüsch setzen. Dort finden ihn die Elternvögel wieder.
Übrigens: Auch wenn sich das Gerücht hartnäckig hält: Vögel nehmen ihre Jungen trotz menschlicher Berührung wieder an.
Das Wichtigste ist, zunächst gründlich abzuwägen, ob ein Handeln eurerseits notwendig und angemessen ist. Meist müsst ihr nichts tun. Es reicht Abstand zu halten und einfach zu beobachten. 🧡
