  6. @justinionn @pennine

does not look like the same schem to me - "estimated expenditure of £17,335" looks like an incentive to move, not a tax on those with more bedrooms than some bureaucrat decides they need

I will look this up - if you are trying to mislead me I will stop debating - no point

And it was #clegg & co cooperated in that stupid #austerity programme

I bear #libDems no ill-will - I simply want to maximise the #labour vote & minimise the risk of #tory govt

  7. @justinionn @pennine

well let us hope they do not engineer another #tory govt

#tacticalVoting to maximse the #nonTory MPs is great - but trying to engineer a #minorityLabour govt is fraught with risk

I apologise for not noting that coalition in #Wales - but it looks like #Drakeford is managing fine there without #libDems now

As #starmer most likely will in #westminster.

You are wrong about the #bedroomTax - that was pure coalition #austerity sanctioned by a cabinet that included #libDems

  8. @justinionn @pennine

That is not an "option" - you cannot select it, just pray it happens.

    Which it won't.

BTW given the last time the #libDems cosied up to another party it was basically raped, saddled with blame for tuition fees, spare bedroom tax, disabled inquisition and sundry other #toryAusterity ills in exchange for a few years of limos and a failed ref on STV, I am surprised

#labour, even as a minority, will not make a deal.

  9. @justinionn @pennine

    You and all #libDems

I want #labour to get a big majority, #reform #ukPolitics to prevent #toryCorruption ever being possible again - save the #NHS, normalise our politics to the #centreLeft then win again

  10. @justinionn @pennine

You say that - but there is no basic requirement in the #labour ethos to stick to the #europeanProject - whilst I think it is a core part of #LibDems

Tactically, #labour would be unwise to join the #libDems

  11. @justinionn @pennine

"Actually, The #LibDems polling figure just prior to #GE2019 was only around 3% higher than current polling"

Meaning you are doing less well now than just before you managed to get a grand total of 12 MPS elected?

You do see the issue, surely? As I frequently post in response to #labourLeft posters bemoaning #starmer being a #redTory in their eyes (he is of course nothing of the sort), purity in opposition is totally pointless.......

  12. @justinionn @pennine

You reckon? What did you put it down to? Definitely not #libDem voters flocking to support the hopeless #corbyn

I am not sure that "stepping stones to ultimate #rejoinEu " is a lot different from #labour #makeBrexitWork

I also think it will be a very long time indeed till conditions are right to #rejoin - frankly the damage is done for at least one full parliament and most likely several more

  13. One of the few things I've been thankful of this year, is discovering Boom Radio UK.

I came across it, around last June. No idea how or why.

Their playlist is predominantly "easy", but it's weirdly eclectic.

It's aimed at the 50+ audience. Lots of very old music, but the odd new track now-and-then.

In some ways it's more "alternative" than a station like BBC 6Music. Yesterday afternoon, they played Doris Day, Rainbow, and Kraftwerk. I loved it all.
