"As the federal courts repeatedly ruled against the South’s massive resistance, many white people pivoted to a new tactic, one that is lesser known and yet profoundly influences the Black Belt region today: They created a web of hundreds, perhaps thousands, of private schools to educate white children."

@jrefior RBAC is easier for most organisations yet there's quickly the risk of role combinatorial explosion and then it falls short.
ABAC is interesting when data quality is *really* understood as a key prerequisite and actually correctly measured and enforced.

"The many dangers LaFayette faced included an assassination attempt on the same night Medgar Evers was murdered in Mississippi, in what the FBI said was a conspiracy to kill civil rights workers. LaFayette was beaten outside his home before his assailant pointed a gun at him..."
"LaFayette grew up in Tampa, Florida, where he recalled trying to board a trolley with his grandmother when he was 7 years old. Black passengers had to pay at the front, then walk to the back to climb on. But the conductor began to pull away before they could board, and his grandmother fell. He was too little to help.
"He was beaten in Montgomery, Alabama, and arrested in Jackson, Mississippi, becoming one of more than 300 Freedom Riders sent to Parchman Prison...
"Several of King’s marches were attacked by white mobs..."

Russia bombed the US, but it's no big deal to this Russian asset who got elected president. He's just excited about the photo of him and Putin together, he's showing it to everybody who walks in the Oval Office.
-
Some TIARA site updates tonight, such as Trump describing his warm feelings for Putin:
"...you saw that: when he got off his plane and I got off my plane, there's a warmth there that you can't—you know, there's a decent feeling, that's a good thing... I called.. it was late... but he picked it up very happily. I'm sure he works very hard"

"First came the red carpet, then the warm handshakes, friendly smiles and military planes flying overhead.
"Finally, President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin climbed into the back seat of Trump’s presidential limousine, casually chatting like reunited friends.
"It was a greeting fit for the closest U.S. allies. Instead it was rolled out for an adversarial leader who launched the largest land war in Europe since World War II and is seen as one of America’s most vexing foes.
"Trump briefly applauded Putin while he awaited their greeting. His hand was outstretched as Putin approached, and they exchanged a lengthy handshake, patting each others’ elbows, chatting and smiling.
"That is when F-22s fighter jets and a B-2 bomber flew overhead at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage.
"They ignored shouted questions from reporters as they stood on a platform emblazoned with the words 'Alaska 2025' for a photo-op and another handshake.
"As the motorcade pulled away, Putin grinned."

When I was in high school, in homeroom every morning, we stood up, faced the American flag, put our hands to our hearts, and repeated the pledge of allegiance.
Anyway, here's a video of Trump's envoy charged with Russia-Ukraine negotiations, billionaire real estate investor Steve Witkoff, putting hand to heart when Putin walks in the room

On April 17, Trump's envoy Steve Witkoff provided European officials with a framework for the negotiated settlement of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The terms gave Russia almost everything it wanted, and included the following points:
- Ukraine will not seek to join NATO
- US provides de jure recognition of Russian control of Crimea
- US provides de facto recognition of Russian control of Luhansk
- US provides de facto recognition of Russian-controlled parts of Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Kherson
- Sanctions on Russia resulting from this conflict since 2014 will be removedhttps://www.reuters.com/world/ukraine-peace-deal-proposals-set-out-by-us-talks-paris-2025-04-25/

Looking back at POTUS activity on February 12, where Trump charts a new diplomatic path on Ukraine, in which Trump and Putin agree Ukraine will give up its territory to Russia, and then try to force feed that "negotiated settlement" to Ukraine. This is 16 days before the Trump team's disastrous ambush of Zelensky in the oval office.
The Russian government desperately needs the war with Ukraine to end, and wants some sort of "win" to come from it. The truth is that Russia owes more than a trillion USD in reparations to Ukraine, and must retreat from all Ukrainian territory, including Crimea.
It seems impossible to make sense of Trump's behavior, unless you consider the hypothesis that this is a Russian asset trying to deliver that "win" for his boss. His social media post defies parody, here's an excerpt:
`I just had a lengthy and highly productive phone call with President Vladimir Putin of Russia. We discussed Ukraine... We each talked about the strengths of our respective Nations, and the great benefit that we will someday have in working together. But first, as we both agreed, we want to stop the millions of deaths taking place in the War with Russia/Ukraine. President Putin even used my very strong Campaign motto of, "COMMON SENSE." We both believe very strongly in it. We agreed to work together, very closely, including visiting each other's Nations. We have also agreed to have our respective teams start negotiations immediately, and we will begin by calling President Zelenskyy, of Ukraine, to inform him...`
For context, AP News article that day:
https://apnews.com/article/russia-us-marc-fogel-prisoner-swap-98418693957b1fa0189ee8ac4e8b4f2dBut more context would be that Russian intelligence gave Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort a "peace plan" for Ukraine— where Ukraine would surrender territory to Russia—back in 2016. Multiple interactions about this are detailed in the Senate Intelligence Committee's report.
And that this year, after February 12, Trump agreed with Putin on a peace deal where Ukraine cedes occupied territory, US officials proposed it to Ukraine, and Trump lashed out against Zelensky when he didn't go for it.

Wait, what?
"the fourth time that a pedestrian or vehicle has been struck by a train in the town since December... the car drove through the gates... Fellow town resident Steve Burke said drivers in the area often try to beat the gates."
What's going on in Abington, Massachusetts? Has this become the new Golden Gate Bridge or do SUV drivers really think they're invincible? (maybe it's both)
"Two pedestrians, in two separate incidents, were hit and killed by the train in March. One of the victims was an off-duty Randolph police officer. In December, a minivan was struck by a train and dragged down the tracks."

Added to the timeline Manafort's meeting with Kilimnik: collaboration with a political consultant known to work for Russian intelligence.
(That Americans elected Trump again after what was revealed in the five-volume report by the bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee is mind-boggling. Also mind-boggling is that Marco Rubio was acting chair of the committee at time of release, and went on to work for Russia in multiple roles in the Trump administration.)

"The largest union for federal employees is planning to lay off more than half of its staff nationwide after President Donald Trump’s executive actions have rapidly weakened the organization’s finances, the union said Thursday.
"The American Federation of Government Employees will move ahead with a reduction in force that could cut its 355 employees to approximately 150, eliminating organizers, national representatives, support staff and others.
"The layoffs will weaken a leading opponent to Trump’s dramatic reshaping of the federal government."

"President Donald Trump on Wednesday lashed out at Ukraine's president, saying Volodymyr Zelenskyy is prolonging the 'killing field' after pushing back on ceding Crimea to Russia as part of a potential peace plan.
"Zelenskyy on Tuesday ruled out ceding territory to Russia in any deal before talks set for Wednesday in London among U.S., European and Ukrainian officials. 'There is nothing to talk about. It is our land, the land of the Ukrainian people,' Zelenskyy said.
"During similar talks last week in Paris, U.S. officials presented a proposal that included allowing Russia to keep control of occupied Ukrainian territory as part of a deal, according to a European official familiar with the matter who was not authorized to comment publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity."
