Last weekend I saw Normal, You Me & Tuscany, and The Christophers. This week I saw Mother Mary. I just saw Exit 8 and I'm in the theater waiting to see Mile End Kicks. So far I liked all the movies I've listed.
Normal is really fun with good action and jokes. It's a little more gruesome than I thought. The Christophers was terrific! Great performance from Michaela Coel who is also very good in Mother Mary. Exit 8 was really cool too.

Good weekend! I saw The Bride Friday night and thought it was really fun. Went to drag brunch at Hamburger Mary's in West Hollywood for a friend's birthday on Saturday afternoon and hung out with that big group of people until Saturday night. Then on Sunday I went to a friend's house for his daughter's sixth birthday.
Tonight I'm going to go watch a buddy play some hockey too! Nice little extra treat for a fun weekend.

Fun Saturday! I went to a bar and did some character creation for a Fate Accelerated game my buddy is going to run. Then I came home and watched some TV and played some video games. Now I'm in bed and I'm going to read some comics until I fall asleep!

Power came back on around noon and I got in the shower which slowly transitioned from between lukewarm and brisk pretty much the whole time. So, I didn't have to go to my friend's place for dinner (delicious sausage sauce pasta) and board games (Kill Doctor Lucky) whilst simultaneously greasy and flakey.
I did need to bum a ride because the rain flooded our garage parking like always. I ordered some over-the-shoes rain covers for next time.

2) I've watched some Godot tutorials and some video essays on game design. I've messed around with the engine on my own a little. I don't want to fall into tutorial hell like when I tried to learn Blender.
I also recently made a simple little version of Keepy Uppy using Tic80 which was a great experience. I had to luck up a few functions, but it felt good to finish something. Now I'm going to try and make it again in Godot, but up the complexity.

I'm watching Alien: Resurrection for the first time and it is exceedingly goofy. The basketball scene starting with Ripley dunking and ending with her having acidic blood is pretty bold. Had a great evening chatting and drinking a couple beers (at the rad Hop Merchant) with a friend I don't see often enough. We talked about video games and RPG campaign ideas and movies and our shared desire to make more stuff! The joint was playing all the music from high school and early college all night too!

I'm dog sitting for some friends of friends who got married yesterday. Which I think their French Bulldog Stitch must have known because she ripped the worst farts one after another all day yesterday.
She was laying on the couch next to me while I played in our long running Fantasy Flight Star Wars game and it was so bad. She's a sweetheart but so smelly yesterday!
