  6. @jasondidner

We didn't get UHF Channel 68 growing up at the Jersey Shore, but when my sister and I would stay overnights with my grandmother, I would make sure to watch #UncleFloyd there (also where I first watched MTV because we didn't have that in Brick yet either). Things I remember from those days is Oogie singing "Puppetry Man" when Phoebe Snow was on and some ridiculous bit about fruit flies. Took this pic of him holding court after a show near me in 2016. Legend.

  7. Mel Robbins’ The Let Them Theory hit me at exactly the right time.
It sparked a brand-new rock anthem called “Let Them.”

I wrote a blog post about the story behind the song — and shared a live solo-electric performance.
If you’ve ever felt stuck walking on eggshells, you might relate.

  16. I was just interviewed by Bethany Paige Campbell for the indie music blog "Why Are You So Quiet?" — and yes, we went there: Jersey Rock, mental health, the chaos of the internet, and the scourge of overly long acronyms.

"Humor that felt both whimsical and deeply human" — that's the goal, honestly.

  17. I came late to the Uncle Floyd party - but am sure glad I made it! About 4 years ago a friend, who's distantly related to Floyd suggested I send him "You Can't Get There from Here in Jersey" for his weekly radio show. Floyd really embraced the song and played it on several occasions.

I dedicate yesterday's performance to Floyd, may his memory be a blessing.

  18. Mel Robbins’ Let Them Theory landed in my life at the perfect time.
It reminded me that letting people be who they are is actually a way of protecting your own peace.
That idea moved me so much I wrote a song called Let Them.
This is a little behind-the-scenes moment before the release on Dec 12.
