Jag har en digital prenumeration på Svenska Dagbladet, tillsammans med The Guardian och Ekot är den min främsta källa till dagliga nyheter.
Nu inför de en avgift för att slippa att de samlar in personlig data i reklamsyfte, alternativet är att acceptera en massa cookies förmodar jag. Jag använder ad blockers, men om jag förstår rätt har det ingen betydelse för hur det här kommer att fungera.
Inte så sugen på att lämna ut mer data om mig.

When someone posts about something they've read or watched, but never actually mention what it is, but add a link at the bottom to a blog or whatever, I never click that.
I get too annoyed by the click bait.

My current phone is starting to show signs of old age, and will probably have to be replaced this year. I'm curious about the new Jolla phone, but as a Swede I need the BankID and Swish apps.
As far as I can tell they work in Sailfish, but does anyone have any experience with this?

I'm thinking of getting a Fairphone 6 with e/os, but as a Swede there are a couple of apps life would be very difficult without, namely Swish and BankID (and my banking app).
It seems at least BankID is available but does anyone know how well these work or if they can even be installed?

@bookstodon Yesterday I read Winter's Gifts, and today The Masquerades of Spring by Ben Aaronovitch, novellas in the Rivers of London series, though both are set in the US. Very different books, but both enjoyable, though I liked Masquerades best.
I also got Stone & Sky, a full length novel, but I'll probably squeeze something else in first, so I don't overdose on Aaronovitch.
These are always fun reads (or listens, as the case may be).

OpenAI har väl inte det bästa ryktet direkt med tanke på hur de samlat in material till sina modeller, men just det här sammarbetet med Schibsted ser väl ok ut vid en första titt, och de behöver väl varje krona de kan få. I discovered #comics properly in the 80's when we saw a lot of stuff for an older audience being translated into Swedish and published by a few anthology magazines like #Epix. Since then it's been an on and off affair, largely depending on whether I had any money to spend on it.
So after (re) discovering #StrangersInParadise the other day, I realised how much I've missed comics over the last ten or twenty years.
I have a lot of #LoveAndRockets to catch up on. Is #OpticNerve still a thing? Etc.

I'm trying to convince myself that I need some sort of voice assistant, smart screen thingy. I have a 1st gen Google nest hub, used as a timer in the kitchen and for listening to the radio. Bought before I de-googled my life.
So I want to do that, but also use with my picore player and IKEA trådfri lights.
I'm not technical, I don't know how to solder or code, but my thumbs are in the right places, mostly. Suggestions?

I used to play #rpgs when I was young, late 70s early 80s, but we would also play the occasional #BoardGame. #Talisman was a favourite, #MagicRealm, #CosmicEncounters and others saw some play as well. A few years ago I played #Dungeoneer with a friend, but I've now discovered that there are lots of games that you can play solo, something that will likely suit me. This was incredibly rare back then!
I just ordered #ArkhamHorror the card game and #KinfireDelve for some solo fun.

I've been going back and forth over the last few years using #Volumio and #piCorePlayer. Just installed the latter again, mostly because I don't really like the UI of Volumio. I have simple needs, just playing music off an SMB share on another pi. I may try to get #Qobuz working at some point, but I don't have a subscription right now.

@bookstodon I'm reading The Shipbuilder of Bellfairie by #Rickert. I picked it up a while ago after someone mentioned it here on Masto. Thank you whoever did!
I'm about halfway through and really enjoying it.
What is a little odd is that I keep thinking about Little Big by #JohnCrowley. I haven't read that one in several decades and barely remember it except that it had a huge impact on my young self. I remember the feeling of reading it though, and I get some of that now, but don't know why.

#Youtube shorts is a terrible, terrible thing. I wasn't going to get anything on the #SteamSale, and now I'm downloading 116 GB's worth of #BaldursGate3. In spite of how everyone is raving about it, I hadn't really planned on getting it.
Let's just hope it runs nicely on #Linux.

Looks like the game #Sunnyside runs on Linux. I got it running on Steam anyway, without doing anything special.
Sunnyside is a #Farmsim, but a bit different compared to games like #StardewValley. There is a demo on Steam, but backers have been able to play the full (but still pre-release) game for a week or so.
