@itguyeric I'm an #ESO player since the beta, but I'd vote for trying FF if you haven't played it already. Neither have I, mind you, but I'm all for trying the new thing and seeing if you like it more than the old thing. If you don’t, you can always go back to the old thing you like, but then you'll know. :-)
(I’d have moved on from ESO, but I play it a couple of hours every week with family members in different cities, and it's our way of staying in touch. So I'm here for the duration. 🤷♂️)

@itguyeric I'm a huge #FFXIV fan. They recently updated the free tier to include through the 3rd expansion.
I will be honest - the initial Main Story Quest is slow at the beginning. They have been revisiting it to remove some of the slog, but it isn't as good as later expansions.
But I still feel there is so much to do in XIV that fits for how I want to game. Between the ability to run all jobs, tons of non-combat content, and a deep RP community if that's your jam.
