Robert, John, and Ben from Apples in Stereo (plus the amazing Robert Beatty) had a side project called Ulysses in 2004 and put out an album called 010 that is a favorite of mine. If you can ever find and listen, it's pretty great. Also personally they are among the coolest, kindest people I have ever met. #theapplesinstereo #LexingtonKY #dreamwishes

The #JWFrancis show on #DreamWishes live at Al's bar in #Lexington last Thursday was wild. Kentucky's own #RobertBeatty did the viideo effects and switching for the live sream...I got to see my old friend #LittleBubbyChild. #TrevorsLighteningProject filled in last minute and was great. Powerful night of love energy. And #octamedussa, who I adore, DJed a killer set. JW is a doll, as my grammie used to say.

I'm a big fan of my son's college dance group, so forgive me. But they really are amazing people. And they are all such hard workers and kind. #rhythmicblue #hiphopdance #dance https://youtu.be/CURYWZMyb_Y

Happy card gaming to all who play! We have a spirited family game of #spades going at the moment.

#Lexington 's beautiful historic #kentuckytheater had a holiday market yesterday and I got some movie posters, the best being Ozu's Good Morning and it reminded me to tell Mastodon that I love to nerd out talking about #Ozu movies.

I am already losing followers on #mastodon, probably for my controversial takes on #whist and #roquefort cheese. Sorry I enjoy both. Not changing who I am. Also big #RockfordFiles fan. Sorry/not sorry.

I was at the #JuliettaMarket in #LexingtonKY today and a young woman with a baby came up to me, apologized if it seemed strange, and told me God had told her to speak to me. She felt I had experienced grief but was a joyous person and I am meant to share that with others and help them especialy as they age. She didn't want anything and walked away. My companion thought it was funny that I didn't think this weird. I thought it was wonderful, courageous, and generous of the woman.

Years ago in #Tallahasse I convinced my friends, largely outsider artists and underground music folks, to help stage a prodcution of #UbuRoi in an unheated warehouse in winter. It was so raggedy. The head of the theater school saw it and hated it, and I was so excited that a very old play could still provoke. But the reason he hated it was our production was mediocre. Sucking & underperfoming can be provocative. People expect 100% from artists. If you want to defy expectations, disappoint.

The worst #earworm I ever got was #LoveIsBlue L'amourEstBleu. An ice cream truck of all things drove by playing a version and it ate at my brain for days and even in my sleep. Those old #EurovisonSongContest entries were infectuous melodies. I don't think that's even legal these days. If you hear someone hum one of those and then go, "Damn it!", that's what's goin on.

This feels more like the internet when I started doing stuff in the 90s and I'd put things on my web site about #AlfredJarry or #RaymondRoussel and hear from people all over the place. Hi, international weirdo friend!
