  10. another post on my blog, first impressions, is now available at my new domain hamblingreen.com! i'll explore my week with the new @PINE64 earbuds and talk about the future of this community driven project with a few music puns thrown in. as always, an rss feed is available on the site. this is a special one as it's the first post on the site hosted on my home server. i'm still figuring out letsencrypt stuff, so for now it says its a self signed certificate. enjoy!

  11. i'm working on a first impressions article on the covering my personal experience after 3 full days of use, and i'm really impressed so far with them! i'm currently working on hosting my website on my sbc, and will put up the article at hamblingreen.com when i get the self hosting situation sorted. i'll also toot here when that article goes live, it's been too long since my last full blog post.

  12. @hamblingreen I've been tempted to get the #PineBudsPro to replace my JBL earbuds that have never fit my ears correctly. Are you able to adjust the size while still fitting them in the charging case?

Also, have you checked out the #Bangle.js2 to compare with #PineTime? I'd be curious to know your thoughts on how they compare.

  13. i made a script to integrate my expeditions with the viewer. you can view it at both the geohashing wiki or the mepo mailing list linked below. the script calculates the geohash and opens mepo with a pin at that day's hashpoint. if you are new to geohashing or want to give it a shot check out geohashing.site for more information.

  16. @hamblingreen Great! was a bit to basic for me personally when I tried it, but it's great to have it on another distribution 🙂

  17. @hamblingreen There seems to be a lot enough, approx. more than what a standard post had a year ago.

  18. Last major issue to fix before releasing fbp 0.6.1 and using as my daily driver: The UI is really slow, unresponsive, and crashes often on any platform other than the original pinephone with pmOS. Likely due to a memory leak

  22. i'm adding my first new feature to since inheriting the project, a system clock that sits on the keyboard statusline, and i'm using the C time library because there isn't a good one in the zig standard library. for whatever reason, it works just fine with optimizations off (-Doptimize=Debug) but spits out garbage time values when optimizations are on (-Doptimize=ReleaseFast). this is gonna be a pain to figure out

  23. another zig release, you know what that means... upgrading the codebase to 0.13. hooray!

  24. New features include but are not limited to:
    - Migrated codebase from Zig 0.9.1 to 0.12
    - Switched from freetype to stb_truetype (Thanks to a fantastic contribution!)
    - Touch drag gestures
    - Keyboard colors now configurable

    Likewise for :
    - f_*: update device specific logic
    - f_youtube: migrate from youtube-dl to yt-dlp
    - f_phone: migrate from pinephone-call-audio to callaudiod
    - f_audio: switch to pulseaudio

Shamelessly copied from git changelogs. Sue me.
