Someone just shared with me #Apple's new creative suite service, #CreatorStudio. I'm not going to consider it for obvious reasons. And you shouldn't either!
Even if it ends up being a quality suite, DO NOT USE IT. It's a trap! There are free apps that do the exact same thing as these creative suites. They only exist to get you comfortable enough in them that you feel an intense sense of sunk cost in your familiarity so you can never stop paying for the service.
I do not care that the price looks better than #Adobe's #CreativeCloud. It's still 100% more than you should ever have to spend on software. Especially when I know for a fact that it WILL enshittify.
That is, if it hasn't *already* been an "agentic app" with "AI" shoved up every orifice, which you have to work around just to do any work!IT'S A SCAM.

How do you petition W3 to accept a standard?
Every major browser supports a "fill available" keyword, but all of them are prefixed.
- "-moz-available"
- "-webkit-fill-available"
- idk what the Chrome one is but I know it existsThe page generator I'm using (Ktor) supports the keywords "available", "fill-available", and "-webkit-fill-available" but not "-moz-available" which is the only one FireFox/Librewolf supports.
I can manually set it to "-moz-available", yes. But then I only support Firefox-based browsers. Which I'm not opposed to at this point in time, but one day I might prefer another browser and this will be obsolete.
If I were writing this page statically, I would have the option of writing all of the (broken) options in, but the generator only supports one option at a time.

Homebrodot is looking for new members who are experienced in #homebrew development, particularly in graphics!
We need someone who can implement a #graphics backend for #GX in our #Godot 3 for #Wii port, and GX2 in our Godot 4 for #WiiU port.
These goals also extend to the other forks of Godot we contribute to, such as Pandemonium (Godot 3 with features backported from Godot 4 and a completely different technical direction, by Relintai) and Fusion (Fork of Godot 1 for additional systems, by technicaljicama and JulaDDR).
All of which are released under the #MIT license. As well as our platform code.Currently supported platforms:

Does anyone have a #Forgejo or #OneDev instance they'd be willing to let me and my team join? I need a general-purpose #CodeForge, but the treehouse.systems mail server appears to be down, so people can't verify their account to join me.
I like to start my projects privately and only open-source them when they're ready. And I'm currently working on a modding project that would be illegal to make the source code public for. So Codeberg is out of the question for me for most projects.

CW: Complaining about web history
The web has had too many damn scripting engines that just completely died off.
I want to make a website that's backwards compatible with a very early browser, and has one game written from scratch on it.
But the only thing shared between a Firefox 118 and RetroZilla 2.2 is JavaScript. And oh no! JavaScript itself is basically an entirely different beast now, with no legacy-compatible libraries.
I'd basically be better off learning to use a dead engine and *emulating it* in newer browsers. Like using Ruffle with the earliest version of Shockwave Flash I can find.
Except the plugins that made that work seem to be lost to time as well??? And the experience would obviously not be up to standard with a modern game framework or engine.So I'm compromising by making the game only work in modern browsers for now. I'm using Three.js since other things I've tried (like Godot) don't work with my setup.
This goes against my entire philosophy for this #Web0 project. -

I'm not as good at CSS as @dogo, but here's what I've been up to since yesterday. A recreation of the Xbox 360 dashboard in pure HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
When I've exhausted my knowledge, I'm gonna push it to GitHub so someone can have the option of finishing it.
I just wish I could do it myself but webdev has learning walls I can't get over. If I could, I'd take it further than just a recreation.
