  1. Got an email from , which I haven't used in years, marketing it as an "AI-native" platform and inviting me to try for free for 90 days.

    No thanks 👍🏻

  2. RE: mastodon.social/@itsfoss/11630

Uhmm remove LUKS or encrypted boot? That doesn't sound good 🤷🏻‍♀️

  3. I just found out that #Google drive integration is no more into #Gnome. Sadly, the libgdata maintainer threw the towel a few years ago and is no longer shipped with Gnome. Very unfortunate, I remember I paid an Insync license ages ago because I needed this integration.

Unfortunately my knowledge of that codebase is zero but I wish someone would take over. Perhaps writing a small plugin for myself in #Vala?

  6. Setting up again in my Chromebook to have a spare Linux install. Most everything is on the Trixie repos for Arch64 but I had to build pgAdmin4

  7. I just picked a pair of these for Bugs and Lola from the other day and they drip terribly, thought I might have gotten some faulty ones but then I went to their website to check the reviews and oh boy...

It's been a long time since I purchased something with so many bad reviews and they all complain about the same; the bottles end up empty even without the animals sucking off from them.

Yet they still have them for sale...

  8. So basically move off of both and , I just haven't had the time since all I have there are personal non-important projects and a friend's POS system which is the only one I really care about. It will also be a good opportunity to migrate said project from 7.x to 8.x.

  9. I definitely need to move off of ...

has only "enshitiffied" the product over the years. I'm glad I don't work in corporate anymore and don't have to use, or even worse, setup

  10. I just hung Mr Tesla's portrait. The story of this photo goes way back to when "The Oatmeal" or Matthew Inman started a funding campaign to stop the demolition of the Wardenclyffe tower estate 🗼, I donated back then and got this as a thank you. The Tesla science center still exists today and you can donate here:

  11. Dinner by myself tonight in my new fav 🍣 spot in town (Zuke)

  12. Finally framed and hung my new illustrations. Pretty happy with the result

Ordered in the timeline of their lifespan

  13. My "new" RTX 3060 just came in, this is probably the last upgrade I do to my main desktop PC before it gets decommissioned and I get a Framework PC next year. For now this will suffice. It's a TI XC model with 8GB in a two slot config because I have a mini ITX board. I've got it refurbished because new cards for older models are crazy expensive 🫰🏻

  14. Third day in #Guanajuato. Went to have lunch with my dad today. You'll see these kinds of rustic homes all over the place. The restaurant we went to used to be in fact a hacienda a long time ago.

BTW I still have to fix his home WiFi. The new router just arrived today, I will probably be the IT guy tomorrow. Walls are so thick that the signal gets lost easily. This is one of the disadvantages of colonial buildings; they're beautiful architecturally speaking but don't play well with #WiFi.

  16. Today I'm working which actually means not in my home office. Spending this week in Guanajuato at my dad's. Thought I'd get some natural vitamin D, weather is fantastic.

  17. Today I finally let Bugs out of the cage for a bit of time and played with him since he's more relaxed than the day I picked him up. He's very playful now.

I really missed having a pet after I lost Fiona, my dog.

I currently live in an apartment which means no backyard so it kinda makes me sad to have a dog all day within the apartment until you walk it out.

P.S. Fiona didn't pass away, she just was better off living in my former house after I got divorced.

  18. I'm in the process of and restyling my place, rugs, paint, etc.

I purchased a set of posters from to frame them and hang them in my man's cave where I already have others from topics of my interest or special occasions like concerts signed posters and such.

But this time I wanted to do something different; have portraits or drawings of people I consider revolutionized the world, especially around my area so I've got these:

  19. Another nice here in

I'm blessed to have two balconies and be able to see both the sunrise 🌄 and the sunset 🌅

  20. Here's my Took it last weekend on my way back from my hometown to

What you see in the photo is the dry lake known as "Laguna Salada" just before you climb the "Rumorosa", part of the Baja sierra mountains.

Interesting fact: This part of the road is 10m below sea level which makes it one of the hottest places in the world up to 52°C recorded during summer. After you drive up for 15 mins you'll be 1200m above sea level with temperatures well under 0°C over winter.

  21. I'll start the morning today with some tea instead of ☕, hands on code now. Have a lot to do but want to take some time during the week to try out the most recent alpha version of for Linux. We'll see how well it works for me under 24.04 LTS (yes, I'm a boring rails dev who doesn't use Arch or )

  22. I've been thinking about getting a , a pair of bunnies to be more specific. I used to have a beautiful named Fiona and but now that I live in an apartment and not a house I find it really sad to keep a dog locked in an apartment with no porch or backyard.

I also don't really want to spend the time in traffic it would take to walk a dog in the nearest park.

I've been told to get a cat instead but I'm not a cat person... So bunnies 🐇 will be, to scratch the itch.
