  1. Feel lucky that my yard has plenty of borage that comes back each year on its own :) I didn't do anything with it last season but I would like to try making tea with it this year.

  2. Our application to exhibit TetraB.io PAPRa at Open Sauce has been accepted!

    This is my first time attending Open Sauce and I'm excited to see what its like. Let me know if you're going to be there and want to chat about PAPRa or my other projects, such as the BusKill magnetic release or the DOF initiative. I'm planning to have at least one magnetic release hardware kit on me in case I meet someone who promises to make one ^_^.

  3. I'm officially going to go for my permaculture certification with DIHG (dihgeco.org/) next year. Counting towards it, I recently joined at the permaculture demo site to help build the cob walls of the course's natural building project, a future tool lending library.

    I'm on a free scholarship, so I wanted to give back by volunteering and will be doing a content audit for them this summer. I'm excited for the opportunity to help and dust off my instructional content skills.

  4. I just love the beautiful flowers of the prickly pear cactus

  5. I always forget to tell anyone, but I usually bring my kit for making 3d printed magnetic releases with me when I visit hacker and maker themed events. One day, perhaps the person meant to build one will find me.

  16. Love these pics from the tetrab.io booth at LA makerfaire + City of STEM. I enjoyed the opportunity to speak with parents and the next generation about the completely open source and low-cost powered air respirator and the importance of personal protective equipment for makers and DIYers. Because we had multiple PAPRas available to try at the booth, it was a cool opportunity to see many people's reaction to trying it out for themselves.

  18. Got my comic signed by Jack Rhysider! Yay

  19. Wow is such a cool app. I bet this would catch on way faster if the technofeudalists weren't in control.

    Been using it for watching YouTube and Odyssey from my LineageOS phone. Has many other sources as well. greyjay.app

    seems like a neat alternative economy product and service Just signed up after seeing one of my pals on there.

    Reminds me of Villages.io in some ways. But that project really seems to be abandoned. I tried using it recently and it didn't really look like it was doing so hot. I do see some activity on the mailing list. Don't get me wrong I'd love to see it succeed and maybe it still could.

  21. Oh wow, I actually had no idea LibreDraw is so handy for editing PDFs. And that you can create encrypted password protected documents with it

  22. One of my favorite projects is Open Source Ecology.

    I watched Marcin's Ted Talk about it in university, having a preexisting interest in libre/ , and the GVCS permanently expanded my views of the possibilities for open source development and building.

    I volunteered for a quarter documenting the Pen Plotter, and I hope to volunteer again some day.

    Until then, I now mod an Open Source Ecology community. slrpnk.net/c/open_source_ecolo

    Welcome you to join!

  23. I've lately become very interested in an open hardware data modeling project that could be a game changer, and I think anyone interested in and should take note.

  24. I saw the eerie fog on my commute and had a harsh cough, but didn't quite connect it was the chlorine gas from Rockdale's Biolab explosion.

    Coooooooooool. 😶

    Did make it through the hurricane unscathed though so, I guess you win some and ya lose some.

    I'm feeling kinda sick though for real. They say it shouldn't be enough to hurt us but I'm gonna believe my throat on this one...

  25. I will be presenting "Open Hardware Design for BusKill Cord" Demo Lab at DEF CON 32.

    When: Sat Aug 10

    Time: 12PM - 1:45PM

    Room: W303 - Third Floor - LVCC West Hall

  26. I am absolutely thrilled to announce that my submission to give a at in Las Vegas about my work on the design for cord project was accepted!

    @BusKillin

    BusKill is a Dead Man Switch triggered when a magnetic breakaway is tripped, severing a USB connection. I've written code that creates a 3D printable file for plastic parts needed to create the magnetic breakaway.

  27. I have been working on creating a 3d printed usb a magnetic release for use with the buskill kill cord.

    As you see demoed here, when i pull the cord, the case separates and the computer locks.

    One end of the release case is now completely finalized, and there's only a little more refinement needed for the other end to make it perfect.

    I'm so excited to finally be wrapping up this project and delivering it to the people!

    @BusKillin

  28. I made this 3D printed pin celebrating @BusKillin

    Fun logo, right?

    I've been making some progress on my prototype, but still more to go.

  29. Video of my beginner group performance on 5/25. I'm the one with the fire colored fans.
