  1. It seems my actually works, though I am still somewhat skeptical.

    This is from a correlating its two mu-mimo inputs.

    The second picture is what happens when you disconnect one of the antenna from the input showings its not just correlating its own noise.

    On #macos #tahoe installed with #conda, I'm going slightly insane.

    gnuradio (v3.10.12.0) depends on qt-main (v5.15.15)

    gnuradio also depends on qwt (v6.3.0) which depends on qt6-main (v6.10.1)

    So, now I have both qt5 and qt6 installed .. by the installer .. that fails when you attempt to run anything because there's two versions of qt installed.

    Anyone?

  3. I had the curiosity to do some tests transmitting and receiving DMR DMO with an unmodified #plutosdr

    Normally DMR in repeater mode requires establishing a time base from the BS transmission in order to fit into one of the timeslots.

    However, in DMO mode, there is no such requirement. When starting a DMO transmission, every terminal establishes its own time base, and the receiving radio must synchronize to it.

    So DMR in DMO mode can work fine with the Pluto.

  4. @funkylab I tried that first and I got #gnuradio to open but it wouldn’t recognize the #hydrasdr. So I backed the install out and built it from source. Still no joy.

  5. Okay. I’m getting segmentation faults when I try to start #gnuradio on #unbuntu #linux. I’m trying to use the #hydrasdr #rfone and I can get #sdrpp to work fine but not #gnuradio. 🤔

  18. Through the application of #gnuradio and an #rtlsdr dongle I have determined there are no other obvious interfering users of the 868 #mhz band. I just have very thick Victorian stone walls between two of the three nodes of the network. This could be a problem because the two energy diverting devices need a single common source of truth when it comes to the #grid load.

    I just got my first receiver working with gnu radio companion.

    Nothing fancy, mind you - an osmocom source, a slider for center frequency that doesn't do what I expected at all, a waterfall, an AM demodulator, and an audio sink.

    I thought I'd tune it by adjusting the center frequency but it's not the case.

    It does show the expected spectra on the waterfall though, and there is radio noise and static playing back over the speakers.

    I can't tune it, but it does make radio noise! Hey, it's a start :D
