The final session of Day 2 of #biocuration2025 is on glycans. Kiyoko Aoki-Kinoshita explains that the name for GlyTouCan (https://glytoucan.org) is a play on words in Japanese, where "Tou" means sugar!

Hi all,
Hope you're fine and safe
An important #announcement about #tyssue , a Python modeling library :
https://github.com/DamCB/tyssue/blob/main/README.md
Please 🔁 this message to reach the few and far apart people that might be impacted

Dear community,
The [#Tyssue library](https://doi.org/10.21105/joss.02973) was created around 2015 (ten years already!) as a refactoring of code used in a publication with Magali Suzanne's team [Nature paper](open access)](https://www.nature.com/articles/nature14152)
I don't have time to care for tyssue any more, due to _ gestures around _ and tyssue is in need of new maintenance it it is to persist.
Below one or two post on what has to be done

Excellent resource to choose the correct repository to publish your #BioImage #data
in #EOSC and elsewhere:https://zenodo-rdm.web.cern.ch/records/13945179
Thanks @EuroBioImaging !

Hi, since I just moved instance an #introduction is in order.
I am a research software engineer #rse working on #OpenScience for #microscopy (aka #openmicroscopy).I am also working on #PhysicsOfLife through the development of the #tyssue simulation library.

I too should do an #introduction
(edited to fix typos)I did my PhD in #physics, about cold atoms and small apertures. After that, I went to work in a #CellBiology lab as a postdoc. I tuned microscopes, helped build a #SPIM and started working on #microscopy data. I also modeled #mitosis and #morphogenesis in #Python.
I am now a research software engineer #RSE working on #OpenData and #OpenScience in microscopy, trying to help researchers make their images #FAIR
