First, the food processor died and wouldn't spin the blade. Hubby messed with it too.
Then I went to use the blender to replace it (making garlic butter, so it's pureed together.) Couldn't get that to work either, so knew that was something stupid (didn't have it locked into place).
Pain makes thought processes hard.

Today's dinner is courtesy of Dinnerly. We used their meal kit yesterday for chicken fajitas.
I hope their gyros are better than their fajitas were. I'm a good cook, so simplified recipes minus many of the traditional ingredients are a hard sell for me.

After several bouts with swimmers ear, I finally remembered to buy the otc stuff to prevent it.
Should have bought it quicker and I'd have realized it's mostly alcohol with a tiny bit of glycerin.
Also, if it's already started...yee haw, it burns!

The girls have decided that they wanted to go to the flea market. We have two options--one is further away and charges a parking fee (high one at that) and the other is close by & doesn't. I convinced them the closer one was better because we can also do something else. I was hoping the Upick blueberry farm, but whatever...

Granddaughters have planned a camp out, so we were awakened early by a t-storm. GD#1 is here, we're picking up #2 about midday.
Their campout may have to be indoors & hot dog roasting is changing to ordering a pizza. Hot tub experience may also be off the table.

Well, we're about to collect our granddaughter. She's having a camp out with her bestie (in the yard, Grandma isn't up to coping with summer time heat in a tent somewhere.)
One goes to bed early, the other rarely sleeps much & loves to get into stuff (she's on the autism spectrum, as well as ADHD.) I love her to death even if she's a "granddaughter" by choice rather than blood, but I'm dreading this. I suspect I won't get much sleep.

I ordered a wicker basket for a cat bed.
It measured about 19"x13"x8".
It SOUNDED big enough.
It arrived today. I forgot the bit about how it flares out from the base. The base is like 12x8".
It's big enough for a kitten.
A small kitten.

Day 3-got the plug in drill. Drilled 1 hole in base plate to attach it properly.

On Sunday, we met up with some friends, along with our granddaughters, for a few hours of park & fishing. It was real nice, except for the no-see-ums & the fact I forgot the bug repellent.
I now look worse than I did with measles or chicken pox & the itching is right up there with the chicken pox. I'm miserable & taking benadryl to help. I haven't had to use it much in the last few years, so it leaves me sleepy.
Misery is my name.

Dinner tonight was breakfast--an omelet with cheese, peppers, onion & smoked sausage, plus hashbrowns and breakfast links. Mom & hubby got toast too, and I made my mom very happy with the meal tonight.

Hubby got all of the litter box duty today, lucky him. Gotta appreciate a spouse who puts up with you tossing & turning all night & then picks up the slack. He even took my complaints about our Mariah Carey dog when I was trying to be patient with insurance reps on the phone. (He had to take her back out despite threatening rain)

Tried to make an eye doctor appt yesterday. Turned out that I wasn't in the insurance co.'s system, so the dr couldn't make the appt. An hour of chatting & phone calls to straighten it out and guess what?
It's going to take another 3 business days.
It's been the same insurance for over a year.

Hubby is TRYING to drive me crazy. He puts on the radio...loudly...in the room I'm in, then leaves to go to the bedroom & continue his endless Star Trek marathon...leaving ME with the radio blasting away.
Does he not think that I'm capable of turning on a radio or tv on my own? Or am incapable of choosing what to listen to?
