  1. Just got off a kickoff call for Abigail Spanberger’s Campaign for #Virginia Governor. Over 400 people on the call!

The big focus right now is building volunteer groups for collecting ballot signatures. She needs at least 10,000 signatures but they have set a goal for over 30,000.

Ballot signatures are a strange Virginia quirk. But they can be a blessing in disguise. It’s a first test of a campaign’s outreach efforts. And locally, it can be a good way to start organizing convos.

  3. Big day for #AntiTrust. We’ve been having a lot of those days lately.

All thanks to the Biden administration. Fortunately, Harris signals she’ll continue in this direction. Another for 4 years like this would be huge.

  4. I did not get involved in #VEEPstakes as I did not want to get attached to any one pick. I trusted Kamala to make the right choice.

But Walz was my favorite in part because his story and experience is such a great complement to Harris’ story and experience.

And that’s what a good VP pick should do.

So I could not be more thrilled to type #HarrisWalz2024

This is a winning ticket. If we fight for them, it could be a ticket with the biggest #bluewave in a generation.

  10. @webuiltthiscity All of this plus the severed head of Marie Antoinette. My jaw dropped and then just stayed that way through the entire revolution sequence. That went hard. Appropriately metal.

Oh, and the #AliceGuy statue!! I admit I gasped seeing that. Hope they put it in a good place. I nominate the stairs she shot The Drunken Mattress from.

  15. Even #SteveKornacki is in on the deception. He had a chart of first term president’s approval numbers and said “below this number presidents don’t win a second term” and Biden’s below that now.

But instead of comparing June approval numbers across 60 years before the November election, he was comparing “post first debate” approval numbers.

    THIS IS NONSENSE.

First debates have always been in late September.

This year is the first time a #PresidentialDebate was held in June.

    3 MONTHS EARLY.

  16. @randahl FYI, Democrats, this is him showing a weakness.

    Go after it!

He had a few lurches to the center at the #PresidentialDebate that were notable to me.

Suddenly adopting a George W Bush era position on abortion with the whole exception clause? After striking it for almost a decade?

That tells us Republicans are SCARED. Scared at seeing #DobbsVJackson backlash even among Republicans. Scared at how making #RoeVWade law is galvanizing voters.

Remember OH and OK in 2023!

  17. @gwaldby Justice #Sotomayor gave us a perfect phrase to use en masse to this summer.

    President #Biden just echoed it.

We celebrate our #DeclarationOfIndependence from British monarchy this week. Nothing is more American than rejecting the divine right of kings.

A proposal: Post #WeDissent with strong condemnation of these #SCOTUS rulings. Declare your support for American democratic ideals + #WeThePeople this July 4th week. Power starts with us.

  18. Republicans invest a lot of money and time in smoke and mirrors to distract Americans from the fact that they’ve only grabbed power through #MinorityRule the last 30 years.

Democrats can counter it by being bold: shine a light on it and talk about it. Don’t shy away from it. Don’t give into fear tactics. Don’t feed the doom machine.

We’re stronger standing together because quite simply there are more of us than them. When we all do our part, we win.

It’s a mind game at heart.
