  1. @marqle
At the end of the day, what I really care about is debunking the myth that #TransLiberation, BlackLiberation, and #DisabilityJustice aren't intrisically linked.

Any person or group working toward goals that supposedly serve one systemically oppressed community at the expense of others can't actually claim to be doing #AntiOppression work or practicing the values of #Diversity, #Equity, #Inclusion, #Justice, and #Acceptance.

  2. @futurebird @simid Troubling is the tip of the iceberg.
This is also blatant #erasure of people with overlapping identities. None of these identities are exclusive of each other. #Intersectionality matters. #Black people exist in both the #trans and #disabled communities. Some of the strongest #AntiOppression leaders are all three.
Conversations about #Discrimination and #Oppression that aren’t #Intersectional don’t serve the goal of advancing #equity.

  3. #MoodDisorder, #AutoimmuneNeurologicalCondition, #TraumaDisorder. Each has a serious impact on my life & it’s all chronic and all of it shows up as physiological differences between my brain and the brain of someone who does not have any of these diagnoses. 3/?

  4. Today was my last day in the office before taking a 3 week leave for surgery. A few days ago I realized this will be the longest streak of “not at work” since my VISTA year of service and #MultipleSclerosis diagnosis in 2012. A decade #WorkingWhileDisabled w/out much stability/support. I don’t think I’ve even taken 2 weeks off in a row. Not for vacation. Not to transition between jobs. Not even for my wedding. It feels weird. In a good way. I think. #Disability #WorkLifeBalance #WorkplaceCulture

  7. My vet is being a poop.

I hate seeing my schmoopie so sad and low energy. (He's clearly picking up on my vibe and being all, 'I'm sick mommy.')

    So fine.

    I'll flush Benson's eye myself.
