  1. I know that the devs of @enhance_dev had the best intentions, but their #htmlFirst #web #framework is causing me to revert to my style="" and onlick="" attribute using web-savage roots. #enhance #webDev #html #javaScript #css

  2. I built my website using @enhance_dev a couple years ago but I feel like I should use a more popular #IaC framework for deploying to #AWS like #CDK, #SAM, #Terraform or just raw #CloudFormation.

The problem is, I'm spoiled; Enhance makes #serverless so easy. I find myself just reimplementing all it's features; file based routing, html templates, session management, etc.

We reminisced about the web and did a deep dive into Enhance, enhance.dev, a web standards-based HTML framework.

    Thanks again for hanging Simon!

Here we go ... enhance-ssr-wasm running inside a PHP desktop app, directly binding to a webview (no http).

    This doesn't require `sudo extism lib install`, or `composer require extism/extism` anymore.

The runtime is a static build of FrankenPHP, Wails, Wazero and Extism. Integration between PHP and Extism is done through a PHP-C-Go binding.

  18. 2022 has seen a welcome shift of the needle towards #webframeworks that work with the core principles of the web rather than fight against them.

My brief thoughts on a year of using #remixrun and exploring @enhance_dev with more purpose.

  19. There's some interesting thinking going on here: html-first.com/

My current website project is a static site generator, so while the output is largely aligned with HTML First principles, the input still goes through a build pipeline (albeit one with very minimal dependencies).

Then I found enhance.dev and that is a *very* interesting approach to this.

WebAuthn offers a passwordless approach to security that's both robust and user-friendly. It's already built in to all major browsers and implementation isn't a ton of work - especially if you use Architect/Enhance.
