Not gonna lie, I didn't think I'd ever start a sub with a comic book shop, but the new Daredevil run has got me popping by each month now to pick up the latest issue.
I've not got anything approaching a pull list. (Yet.)
But I'm on a first name basis with the owner, and I think that might be because I'm one of the few women that tends to stop by.
Anyway I like comics, again.
Been a while. Still not bringing back #Cornwall Graphic Novel Group, but I'm reading for fun again.

Well, here's where I get off, Evernote.
I've used you for over 14 years but I'm not paying £154.90 to be able to have more than 1000 notes and AI features that I don't want to use.
I'm heading for Joplin, synching with stuff I've already got.
UPDATE: Now looking like Obsidian.

I think it's crazy that the average work week in the UK has gone from 35 hours being full-time, when I was growing up, to 37.5 hours when I joined the workforce, to 40 hours today being considered full-time.
That is some bullshit, right there.
A five hour increase over 30+ years.
But hey, everyone's more stressed putting strain on families and the systems around them, obesity is higher, productivity nationally is down, so those extra five hours must be worth it, right? Right?

I feel like each owner of Tumblr fails to understand what its user base wants. I certainly can't see how the latest move will help them gain paying subscribers or more advertisers.

Looking for an excellent book about the videogame "Alien Isolation"? A few years back, Andy Kelly wrote an awesome book about it.
But he never saw any money from it, because it was published by Unbound, and like many published by Unbound was fucked over by them when it collapsed.

Kiddo and I have been really getting into the #Moomins lately.
Started with a very beautiful pop up book we bought her, the request we find some more books, borrowing some regular books from the library... And we're onto watching the odd episode of Moominvalley.
Many of the concepts are a bit big for her yet, but she asks questions and is deeply invested in the wellbeing and happiness of the main Moomin Family.
Would like to get her copies of the story collections at some point, (in English).
