#LilyTheCat search update, where yesterday we'd papered the doors for the apartments in the complex where Lily might have been seen.
Today we went back. Apartment window's open, but the flyer's still on the door despite the person being home. *head tilt*
Woman felt *so bad* about Lily being missing that she left the flyer up. Her cat was, however, not Lily. Still, very nice to meet someone who was so kind.

> [In my experience], [CloudFlare] usually leaves bigger fingerprints than (HTTP Headers), but I haven't been paying close attention(…)We recommend people who are able, pay attention to the MITM attack.
We're unsure whether the firewall setup above works on linux phones, perhaps the #BlockCloudFlareMITMAttck (or #BCMA) addon can help that use case:

linuxmafia.com is my site.
I really don't care about SSL (on my site), because there's no compelling use-case for https for anything the site does. (I could remove the current self-signed cert with no functional loss.)
The whole CA thing is notorious security theatre as implemented. (See Schneier's entire chapter on that in Secrets and Lies.)
Yes, I'll probably eventually upgrade to a serious SSL implementation using something less hopeless than OpenSSL (looking at wolfSSL and MatrixSSL in addition to the obvious LibreSSL [edit: add Rustls and possibly others; would have to check my records]), and I'll probably accomodate the unthinking masses with a Let's Encrypt cert the way MIchael Orlitzky eventually did, but think it's a well-meaning solution (from excellent and righteous people who are cherished friends) to the wrong problem, for the same reason MIchael Orlitzky does.

@corbden @deirdresm This completely blew my mind because of the LDS church's historical shunning of the cross symbol but apparently they've changed their icon in Google maps to a cross to mark church locations! This just happened a few months ago, I think. #exmo #exlds https://youtu.be/-nzQ60C7njY?si=TSP-AdnhpCMIz5ac

My hypothesis is that the immersive, interactive, and intense nature of the #VisionPro #UX lends itself to situational and context-specific learning opportunities as a compelling #EdTech platform, for skilling AND #reskilling.
Also, distributed workforces with commercial real estate holdings could use the product along with #Holotile to serve as a magnet to make the commute worth the impact on #LifeWorkBalance.
I’m curious what compelling use cases Apple focused on.

Grimes, Elon’s baby mama, dropped quite a line in a recent interview.

So, San Mateo County sheriff situation: we voted (overwhelmingly) to allow the board of supervisors to remove her, but the process will be slow. (Less slow than a recall, though.)

For fans of Islamic art, there's a amazing lecture (and drawing workshop) coming up this weekend online (Mar 8-9 3-6pm UK time £35) about the amazing art on Uzbek columns. (Just look at the photos in the workshop description!)
Uzbekistan is a country I'd love to visit and really take in its artwork in situ.

Rick and I saw a fantastic set by #Zepparella (all-woman Led Zeppelin tribute band) in a sold-out show at the Guild in #MenloPark last night.
If you have a chance to see them, go for it! https://www.zepparella.com/shows-news.html
Special shoutout to guitarist Gretchen Menn, who played the 45-minute backup set with her other band, followed by a 2-hour set with Zepparella.
