Europe has produced so much good, free software. The tech giants from the US are building their entire empire on it and now want to disempower us and force us into a dangerous dependency.
Thanks to #DAVx5, I can sync my data without #BigTech.

@davx5app Yay! Fantastic. With push support, my family would get instant, efficient updates to our shared calendar and address book whenever any of us add an entry, for example.
The most interesting thing about this, for those of us who care about liberty and choice, is that the push delivery system should not be locked in to google/apple but should be able to use the UnifiedPush open standard that lets each end-user choose their preferred push provider.

The app consumes 26% of my battery usage, although I set all syncs to 1440 minutes.
I allowed it background activities in my phones settings.
I do not make/change contact information or calendar entries a lot - and if I do, I do on my phone (triggering ad-hoc syncs); a sync check should offer "nothing to sync".
Does anyone know why that is and what I could do to minimize battery usage? -
