Dinit 0.21.0 now out. https://github.com/davmac314/dinit/releases/tag/v0.21.0
This is the 10th beta release, which feels a bit ridiculous, but that's the price of quality! A few bugs came up since 0.20.0 that were (while rarely encountered) nasty enough to warrant an interim release, before 1.0. Which is planned (again) to be the next release, barring any further serious issues.
The focus now is really on testing and cleanup, so it's not impossible more bugs will be found - but hopefully there are none to find!

Watched a neat talk about #dinit at #EverythingOpen today. It's nice to see people still working on systemd alternatives. @davmac focused more on the experience of running the project and managing expectations, which fits well with the theme of the conference this year.

I came across another distribution a while back, which is using Dinit. I didn't think much about it because I hadn't otherwise heard of it and because for all I knew it was someone's pet project that would die in a few months, but eweOS is seemingly going strong.
It uses dinit, musl, clang, busybox, wayland, instead of more established/older alternatives. Good luck to them! I would be happy to hear about experiences of anyone using it.

If my understanding of big data is correct and not about #AISlop #LLM hoovering, then the data centres with need are ‘boutique’ for curated datasets dealing with very narrow applications in health, academic and commercial research, medecine, and biology, etc… Those we can accommodate and ‘federate’ when needed. The data mining tools, while computer intensive, don’t need them either. So, yeah… piss off and no, we’re not goiong to miss out on anything, especially when the #bubble bursts… soonish. -

You'd think that the war game portion of DanMachi V would be interesting because of all the action. However, it might have been the most boring part of the season, and it certainly didn't have a good ending.

DanMachi V focuses on the Freya Familia as the antagonists, much like how DanMachi II focused on the Ishtar Familia as the antagonists. This season was more interesting but impacted the story less.

A lot happened in Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? V, and yet it doesn't feel like much happened at the same time. But I think that's because the series went on a two-month hiatus and I forgot a lot of it.

Since everything kind of goes back to normal at the end of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? V Episode 15, did the season even matter? We ended up right where we started. You could probably skip this season.

The fact that the final confrontation between Bell and a warrior of the Freya Familia in DanMachi V Episode 15 was just Bell running away and using the power of friendship to run faster was so lame.

The final episode of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? V was full of disappointments, and the first of them was the fact that Bell didn't get a double level-up like Ryuu did.

Did Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? V Episode 14 confirm that the other Gulliver brothers besides Alfrigg are dead? Are those their ghosts we're seeing? Or are they just unconscious?

With Hestia heading to the front lines to give her children status updates, it looks like Bell hitting the double level-up is back on the table. There's a reason it was first introduced with Ryuu's return.
