How do I access (public) toots?
There are a few different ways:
• The web browser, so in our case Cinematheque
• An easy way is to go to Explore in the right-hand menu, Go to the search box top left type in #such and such and such, Click on the name of any
• A client app, usually for mobile devices:
o iOS: Toot! (cost: $4 USD)
o Android: Tusky (cost: free) -

That was it (disconnecting the battery from the mb side not the other way around). Now I'm rocking #fedora 40 with #coreboot on the Asus CX5 #chromebook that I got cheap from Ebay with a broken screen. Thanks to #Chrultrabook and #mrchromebox 💾🏆 Saved from ending up on an e-waste pile, I imagine. Fedora is screaming fast on this machine too 🤩

Eager to play with #claude by #anthropic but it's not released in Sweden & my tries to get a temp valid phone nr in a supported country failed. I use the free version of #ChatGPT quite a bit, #Bard , Bing #Copilot & I just installed #perplexity for mobile search (it's excellent!). I also grabbed the #Lucyd app (they've eyewear w built in voice AI) & it's free app works ok. This IMO is fun & games before I'm able to run LLMs offline in use cases that doesn't involve internet searching

I recently realized that the type of #WindowManager I really want as a daily driver is a tabbed, tiling #Wayland compositor. Turns out there's a #sway fork for Wayland called #volare https://codeberg.org/raboof/volare

Can we please fight GUI chauvinism?! The tendency to start out thinking about how the GUI should look like. When we should instead focus on what problem to solve and various ways of solving it without introducing apps and GUI's. Can this thing be completely invisible and have no UI at all? As in #AmbientComputing Or - even better - what would a #NoCode solution look like? #GUIChauvinism
