There have been quite a few changes here at #ClassQuiz, mostly under the hood though. Noteworthy ones:
- Double answer prevention
- Sorting of results by newest first
- Social login working again (Google and GitHub)
- New languages (Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese and Tamil)
- Special characters now in answers allowed
- Svelte, Node and Python updates for more speed

The storage server of #ClassQuiz will experience a downtime of up to 5 minutes (hopefully) between 2025-11-03 00:00 (CEST) and 2025-11-05 23:59. ClassQuiz itself won't be afffected, just media.

I hate it when people don't value your work, even spit in your face. What I mean?

Self hosting #ClassQuiz and removing every mention of "ClassQuiz", remove the donation button and the "Made by Mawoka". That's not cool. Everyone who does that is an asshole IMO. And that's not even legal for them: They have to put up the source code for the changes. Using the instance and not donating is one thing, but self hosting and changing the code to remove attribution is another.

Man, when working on #ClassQuiz, I really ask myself what kind of overengineered trash I've built there and without even knowing what maintainability is. That's how we all learn, right? That's also, how I've learned that the #rust stack is superior in my opinion, as I'm having more fun creating stuff in rust than in #python, because it's more likely to just work and not throw any type errors. I wish, ClassQuiz was written in Rust. Svelte in the frontend is still great.

On the testing instance (https://classquiz.test.mawoka.eu) you're now able to hide the question results by clicking the cog wheel in the editor in the top-right corner on a per question basis.

@Mawoka Messed up, again! (Who else?)

The Emails coming from #ClassQuiz haven't been working for the past few weeks. There were 2 problems involved:
1. As I am self-hosting mailcow, i manage the mail-server myself and somehow, Mailcow broke, but ONLY the part which sent emails. The rest was working and that's why I haven't noticed the issue, but as more people contacted me, I investigated and moved mailcow to another server under a new domain.
2. I forgot to change the email-login on ClassQuiz.

Some security issues have been pointed out by https://github.com/aplhk and I'd recommend updating. The following issues have been identified and fixed within 3 hours:
- XSS-Injection in Quiz-Titles, Descriptions and more
- XSS-Injection using unrestricted file-uploads
- Easy account hijacking by not requiring a password for 2fa-related actions
- Server leaking all user data about oneself when creating a Quiztivity (Only useful when account already hijacked)

- Timers on every question-type for the player
- Join-QR-Code can be viewed in fullscreen
- Showing custom answer colors on view-page
- Fixed editor crash when adding new question
- Automatically jumping to newly added question in editor
