  1. @cinn48 Guess it’s time to cancel my #Shutter subscription. #TheLastDriveIn was the only reason I had it.

  2. @cinn48 Thanks for all the work you’ve done to support Aislinn Clancy and get out the vote in Kitchener Centre. Defeating the apathy that results in low voter turnout is crucial to ensuring that folks know that their vote matters. Things can change! And engaged people can help make that happen. Again, thanks.

  7. Re: my recent Global News repost -

People will swear that EV sales are tanking, but really they are only tanking in Ontario because the Ontario government is openly hostile to EV car infrastructure and incentives.

Sales are soaring in other parts of the country. And people are happy with their purchases.

  8. This killer reveal is not the big deal the movie wants it to be. We spent not time with this character so I don't care.

    #TheLastDriveIn #GraduationDay

  9. I think whole scenes are missing - the ones where they tell the story. Instead the movie is just kills and music videos.

I would rather watch a Zach Snyder movie for that.

    #TheLastDriveIn #GraduationDay

  10. The dialogue between these two smoking dope on the bench is strained. I assume they were told to ad lib and they had no idea what to do.

I think this filmmaker really thought he was making a masterpiece.

  11. No high school music class has groupies. Absolutely not a single one of them.

    #TheLastDriveIn #GraduationDay

  12. There's tough love and then there's whatever this coach is doing, which I think he can be jailed for, honestly.

    #TheLastDriveIn #GraduationDay

  13. Who is this guy and why is he so rude to a woman who clearly has been serving overseas in the army?

  14. This hyper editing is so ahead of its time. I felt like I was watching a fight in a Marvel movie for a few seconds there!

  15. A nice woman gets a windfall and decides to buy a hotel in Louisiana to comfortably make money off tourists, only to find out the hotel she bought is one of the seven gateways of hell.

You know, that old classic story.

  16. I can't tell if David Dastmalchian is doing a bit or not with not being comfortable with this snake.

And that's why he's so great.

    #TheLastDriveIn #TheBeyond

  17. I love the really fake spiders filling up the scene with the other real tarantulas.

Despite my fear of spiders I find tarantulas actually quite cute and a little cuddly. I've even held them.

So I appreciate the close ups. But I do not appreciate the sound design for their movement.

  18. Finally reached the end of my 21 days straight of work and am tuning into the second half of the first week of #TheLastDriveIn.

I forgot Fabio Frizzi was there doing intro and outro music - it's so damn good!

    Now watching #TheBeyond

  19. People say they aren't opposed to housing, just opposed to housing "here". It's always the wrong spot.

It's the same arguments against every single development. "Heritage. Too tall. Not enough parking. Think about the traffic. It’s become routine to the point where news stories on public meetings practically write themselves."

Towns are fighting growth, and putting farms at risk in the name of "heritage and parking".

  20. Ugh, terrifying murder doll, plus horrible mouth mutilation.

I didn't realize how viscerally I react to mouth mutilation until it happened and I had to look away and picture ice cubes in my own mouth to get rid of the feeling.

I guess I sort of knew because that scene in American History X gives me a lot of discomfort, but at least that was just one time. It was like four or so here.

    Ugh.

  21. This morning my Tidal Daily Discovery playlist has Killing In The Name by Rage on it. Tidal is NOT good at algorithms yet, so I'm sure this is just a wonderful coincidence after having sang along with this song last night at the Tom Morello show.

  22. On #InternationalOverdoseAwarenessDay I’m so comforted to see a big group of people out in #DowntownGuelph to recognize that addiction is an illness and it needs to be treated the same way other illnesses are.

Addiction is not a choice and every death due to drug poisoning is a failure, a failure of policy, and a failure of our society.

  23. Buying high quality footwear means needing high quality care for it.

In Guelph we are lucky to have a 20+ year old shop for shoe repair and maintenance.

Check out this great spotlight on Dimar Shoe Repair.

They do amazing work keeping my Blundstones looking brand new after years of wear!

I hope more people are coming back around to repairing things instead of throwing them out.

  24. Tonight’s Rheostatics fun starts with a killer set by Corin Raymond.

I saw him open two Rheos shows this spring and I’ve been a big fan since.

  25. I thought I could I die happy because I heard Tim Vesely sing Chanson Les Ruelles live tonight, until a few songs later when he sang Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald and now I can carry on with this high for weeks.

  26. My month of live music begins tonight with the first of two Rheostatics shows at the Horseshoe and ends four weeks from now with the Skydiggers Holiday show at the Danforth Music Hall.

Yes, I am crazy to spend two night's standing at the Horseshoe at my age.

To say nothing of the fact that the band doesn't even take the stage until 10:45pm!
