Two days later, it's time to unpack my experience at the #mnstatefair
Arrived with the sister-in-law and her six yo, with plans to meet up with my wife & 4 kiddos a little later.
Parked at a lot across from the Fair for $30. After doing a park and ride last year, this was a justifiable expense I think I'd gladly incur again with young ones in tow.
No lines to get in, threat of afternoon storms kept the big crowds away. It was pleasant initially and warmed up quickly -
All I had to do for the very nice folks in camouflage at the #mnstatefair was a set of pull-ups and fill out my name, address, birthdate, and social security number and they gave this nice lanyard #blessed

He is also a nervous hummer and one of the setup screen songs for #NBA2K23 is Fat Joe's "All the Way Up" so he has been persistently & absentmindedly humming the intro.. saxophone? notes from "All the Way Up" with little regard for how that song is just always stuck in my head now. Rule change proposal for college basketball. Well, it'd work basketball in general at all levels of organized play. If the game goes into overtime, everyone gets an additional foul. E.g. if you fouled out in regulation, when OT starts you are eligible to come back in the game until you foul again. I don't see a downside here.
