@ceemage @devxvda #Kabbadi is interesting. Running away is certainly an element of the game, but it's there's more physical contact in it than in most tag sports. I'd say that #WorldChaseTag takes the lead as the exemplar of a "running away" sport, though Kabaddi is probably not far behind.
(There are a number of tag sports, though only two, Kabaddi and World Chase Tag, have been formalised. Kabaddi is a codification of a schoolyard game; World Chase Tag is an ab initio creation.)

By the time it made it to UK TV, it was absolutely right that the UK version of Win Ben Stein's Money was Win Beadle's Money. But it would make a good alternate history for the format to appear here some 30 years earlier as Win Monkhouse's Money.

@christineburns We are on #Octopus Energy’s #FreeElectricity between 0700 and 0900 (in effect, the “baby brother”
of the “Agile” tariff you’re on) , so I’ve just got up early to set my washing machine, dishwasher and extra heater on. Based on previous sessions, I expect to save - about a quid. But - it’s the principle of the thing! -
@ma3ke I guess its part of the way new languages always make it into the programmer zeitgeist:
Step 1: "I'm never going to bother to learn to use #foobar language, it does nothing I can't do already."
Step 2: "Actually, there are a few edge cases where a few lines of #foobar are more elegant than my usual programming language."
Step 3: "You know, once you get used to #foobar's way of working, it is really very elegant."
Step 4: Profit! (For authors of #foobar tutorial books, at least...) -
A partner at a strategic communications consultancy, quoted in the Grauniad: “While the Labour conference will be the bunfight of bunfights, with corporates piling in from all directions, there is something to be said for a low-key presence at the Tory conference this year if only to take the temperature on what direction the party is set to take once it rises from the ashes.” So, you've overbooked space as well, then? #AccentuateThePositive

“Mark #zukerberg assembles team of tech execs for AI advisory council.”
In other news, my local urban fox has joined together with his local associates to form a Henhouse Protection Patrol. -

@johncoxon I commend this idea for #octothorpe - or maybe not...

@CosmicBlaze Well yes. I mean, #TestMatchSpecial has been available on #DAB for a long time. But I guess the people still listening on LW are mainly choleric retired colonels who think DAB is what nanny used to do to them when they spilled their nursery tea onto their bibs.

Something that will affect all UK Long Wave #radio listeners is that, at the same time (early April) the separate #LW opt-outs for #Radio4 are being dropped, and the service will become a 24/7 relay of the FM service. The Daily Service, the extended edition of Yesterday in Parliament and Test Match Special are thus being scattered to the four winds.

@feorag Monorail? I dunno, that sounds more like a #Shelbyville type of idea...

@nova The problem is that internet traffic from the servers to the US is slowed down by the prevailing westerly wind. Or something. #NotATechie
