When I was somewhere around maybe 10 years old I got a multimeter for Christmas from my grandfather. I was reading voltages of every fucking thing... And I was pretty sure I could read AC voltage from an electric outlet but I had a healthy respect for electricity and it was *months* before I did that.
Techbros are that 10 year old that just got AI and have absolutely no clue or respect for anything and are just sticking it everywhere to see what happens.

Am I missing something or are these tariffs just another way that corporate America gets our money?
As I understand it, consumers paid higher costs because the businesses passed the cost of tariffs on to those purchasing products but now the refunds are going to the people who passed that charge on to us and I'm guessing we don't see any of that.

I'd prefer Chinese vehicles not enter the US market myself but I don't think MAGA realizes the more they attack electric vehicles here at home the more demand for Chinese vehicles there will be.

While this story is WV centric it's certainly a concern for all of the US. Essentially (and I know this will shock no one) consolidation is driving prices higher. It's not just hospital systems but health insurance networks as well. There is no real competition especially when what few organizations exist aren't really transparent about their charges.

The unable to verify thing is exceptionally annoying because it steps you through all the verification points and clearly verifies you but then says it doesn't... Clearly it doesn't like me phone but it doesn't tell me that or even why (I suspect because I use a custom ROM).I haven't tried to delete it because I've used the web to send some payments but interestingly you can only send payments to contacts known to you from the web -- you can't send a payment to a new contact unless you are using the app.
I'm with your assessment... Don't get involved with this company if you haven't already.

It's bad... They make a big deal out of "all your apps in one place" but that place is buried under recommendations and ads.
Thankfully (at least for now) there is a setting to "leave trial" that reverts back to the old screen that just simply shows your apps like it always had.

ABC is the only network that I think has some independence from MAGA and I think MAGA/Trump see Kimmel as their way in. Paramount is run by people that listen to everything Trump says and Comcast has ALWAYS been huge lobbyists *and* make tons of money from lawmakers. Disney has a history of standing up in some scenarios and they've also learned from the first Kimmel attack.
IMHO this is a push to take control of the ABC network (and possibly Fox by association) by removing it from Disney's control. An authoritarian needs control of the airwaves.

AI invading politics is going to be an ongoing issue. Because this is West Virginia they are pointing out attacks on Republicans but the problem goes in both directions.
To be clear, I don't like the stranglehold Republicans have on West Virginia but I still don't want to see AI used as attacks in *either* direction.

Regardless of the criminal activity they found in the search it's a serious violation of rights especially in a state that has a medical marijuana program. Additionally I have, more than once, followed a vehicle where someone was smoking marijuana and it was brought into my car's HVAC and I could smell it in my car for the next day or so.
