Hanson's blacksmith shop, Holbrook, Nebraska. circa 1900.
An old one today! This is my great grandfather standing in front of his blacksmith shop. He came to the U.S. from Sweden in 1885, leaving his pregnant wife behind. He worked as a mine blacksmith in Leadville, Colorado before settling in Nebraska in 1891, finally reuniting with his wife there and meeting his 5-year-old daughter for the first time.
