  1. Last week, CRAN released the version 1.0.1 of "collinear", the R package I wrote during my summer holidays.

It helps filter out numeric and categorical collinear predictors, and let's you decide in what order of preference these predictors should be removed.

You can find more info about the package here: blasbenito.github.io/collinear/

I've also written a post about how multicollinearity can hinder model interpretability: blasbenito.com/post/multicolli

    I hope you enjoy it!

  3. It's only been like a whole effing month and a half since the moment I thought "let's quickly implement a streamlined function to aggregate by time" in the new version of the 'distantia' package, and the moment I got something workable barely resembling the original idea.

I've learned a lot about handling time in R in the process, but feature creep is a thing, and the package never really needed this one.

I guess I dug my own hole there!

  4. I am surely late to the party, but I am finding Kimbra's performances totally fascinating.

She's a criminally underrated vocalist, peculiar at times, and an emotional supernova.
