  1. @bitpirate while this is laughable it seems like a complete failure of the CNA (VULSec Labs). I would think RustDesk would have a decent complaint to make to MITRE

  2. Finished our migration from #sonatype #nexus to #reposilite. The thing I regret the most? Not ditching this #enshitified piece of junk earlier.

  3. It's worrying that most of the styles used for #openstreetmap tiles are based on #cartocss, which is archived. The last commit was 4 years ago.

  4. My #caddy reverse proxy decided to randomly crash after I started using a #changedetection docker container. After a bit of detective work, I was able to identify the cause.

It turns out that the #systemd option LimitNProc is a potential footgun on hosts running containers:

Note that LimitNPROC= will limit the number of processes from one (real) UID and not the number of processes started (forked) by the service.

  5. Any #flask gurus out there? Trying to wrap my head around seemingly HTTP spec-violating behaviour, together with the developer of #changedetection.

    tl;dr: send_from_directory 304 responses have a body while they shouldn't

  6. And there we have it! Pins connected to a #BusPirate, #openocd, and contact! Direct memory access. 👌 bootloader from the capsure dumped.

  7. What a big week! PCBs will be done soon. I'm used to quick turn prototype boards that take 1-3 days, but volume production usually takes at least a week. We paid extra for "emergency" service so they'll be done sooner. Parts went to PCBA by courier, assembly will start in a few days.

  8. Let’s talk about injection molding. We got six quotes. One boss took the time to review the Bus Pirate and send photos of plastic materials/styles he thought would work well, at a reasonable price. It was a great start.

  9. KF141 quick connect adapters were assembled by a new supplier. The through-hole soldering looks great, but the boards were covered in flux.

We sent them back for cleaning. It seems the custom silkscreen survived mostly unscathed.

FCC and CE testing certificates arrived. We...

  10. First day's case re-production arrived and it looks much better than the last batch.

The base is flat. The insert nuts are clean. The aux header retaining pegs aren't missing, and the lip isn't deformed. They really slowed down and did proper quality control.

    Manufacturing..

  11. Injection molded Bus Pirate cases were manufactured this week.

We used a super cheap factory with no frills service and the experience has been painful. They're more than a month late and decided to skip the final color test. We just get what we get, but at least it's done..

  13. I believe anything above #4K video is useless unless you’re a #ContentCreator. Higher resolution allows for better edits by cropping, zooming, etc from higher to lower resolutions.
I also believe unless you’re young or have amazing eyesight, #1080p is good enough quality, especially as people age. Higher resolution is simply a waste of bandwidth.
If you want to impress me, find ways to improve #bitrate. It frustrates me to see video quality drop when there’s a lot of motion in video.

  14. Looking at digital radio bitrate statistics (DAB), seems like Sweden has got it under control in comparison. In Australia, UK it's just sad. How is 24-32 kbps acceptable for music channels? I understand it's HE-AAC (unclear whether SBR or SBR+PS), but still. I have a suspicion this has become somewhat of a norm?
