  1. Case 2: The Bench Trial

Although this case had been pending for several years, Ms. Decker was added to the case in December of 2024 to first chair the multi-week Phase 1 Bench Trial (fraudulent transfer, alter ego, joint venture, and successor in interest) which started in early January of 2025.

  2. When in Michigan celebrating the end of a trial and surving the weather- a #badsanta at The Laundry is required.

  3. The result was a complete defense verdict and the case settled, for less than the last defense 998, right before openings of the Phase 2 Jury Trial (elder neglect, negligence, fraud, financial elder abuse, and wrongful death), which Ms. Decker was also on the trial team for.

  5. Upon joining the trial team, Ms. Decker refocused the defense strategy into one cohesive story changing what had previously been testified to in depositions as consideration free transfers with “rent” payments into payments of over six figures for each business and lifelong payments to the seller.

  6. Did this #NikeRun this morning and it was really enjoyable and I was able to finish “strong” (for me).

  7. Sure, you do mediations, but do you do #aerospace mediations?

    Actually, I do.

My unique understanding of traditional #businesslaw, #internationallaw, and #spacelaw allows me to conduct #mediations and #arbitrations geared specifically towards the aerospace industry.

I understand the inherent differences between the working environment at space companies as compared to other businesses and I also appreciate the large investments and years of work that go into all aerospace projects.

  8. I am incredibly excited to announce that I am now a Member of the Advisory Board for Altair Enterprises!

One of my passions and practice areas is space law. So I was thrilled at the opportunity to join the #advisoryboard of a space education and research organization that is bringing together experts and practitioners from all different aspects of the aerospace industry.

  9. First workout since a lesion on my leg got biopsied. (Luckily the afternoon after I finished #ywaCenter.) I did a slow run and my leg where the wound is is definitely tingly- but it felt good to move. Hopefully this time next week I’ll know whether more removal is needed or if it was benign. I’ve had that brown mark on my leg since at least college- so it’s really weird not seeing it there anymore.

  10. Day 30 - Return

Well this yoga journey is finished for me- though I know I’ll be back on the mat later this week after a few days to rest and reflect.

This is my third yoga journey with Adriene and I always dread the day 30 video because I don’t like the lack of audio cues. It’s hard for me to follow the flow and I know that’s the point- to flow with her and take inspiration but to trust ourselves. And I have difficulty doing that because I want to stick to the plan.

  11. Day 29 - Pleasure

There was nothing pleasurable about this practice… lol… but I added on a 2000m row for the penultimate day of this 30 Day Journey.

I can’t believe how this month has flown by. Or rained by- it’s raining again.

    #ywaCenter #yogawithadriene

  12. Day 28 - Freedom

I really really loved today’s practice. A great flow with a little bit of balance and a lot of do what feels good built in.

I also loved Adriene’s quote: “I celebrate you for arriving at the mat with the courage to be who you are and to come with whatever you are carrying.”

Sometimes simpling carving out the time, coming to the mat, and taking that first step can feel like a battle. But it’s always worth it.

  13. Day 27 - Yin

I love yin practices but never seem to choose them on my own. (And I definitely needed it today after the utter chaos that was yesterday- including not having water from 12-4 and again from 5-12- amongst several other annoyances that snowballed into an awful-ish day.)

After today’s practice I did a 21 minute Nike run led by the first transgender athlete to make the national team. Really inspiring stuff. And the neighborhood geese are back!

  14. Day 26 - Connect

I can’t believe this 30 Day Journey is almost over.

One of the ways I connect to myself is through daily rituals. Making a (I know it isn’t pretty) latte every weekday morning is one of them. And this mug has been with me since my freshman year in college… yup… it’s survived 20+ years of moves and use.

  15. Day 25 - Amor

I did a little mini-weights warmup to start and my elder cat must be feeling a lot better because he followed me into the other room, gave me a tail hug, and then supervised. When I went back to the living room and started the yoga he followed and gave me several kitty headbutts during the practice- which he hasn’t done in weeks. It was so nice to feel like my old yoga and workout buddy was back.

  16. Day 24 - Explore

And we have officially started the last week of this 30 Day Yoga Journey!

Today’s photo is a post yoga selfie. No makeup- just good energy!

  17. Day 23 - Soar

This was a fun practice! I was really worried it would be too strength heavy for my arm that got a tetanus shot yesterday- but it was the perfect balance of strength, stretching, and balance.

Tagged on a little 2000m row and broke out a pair of my favorite old roller derby socks! Dino-auts! (Which is what I imagine dinosaur astronauts would call themselves.)

    #ywaCenter #yogawithadriene

  18. Day 22 - Align

I don’t think I’ve ever done a Horizon Lunge before- so that was pretty cool. But staying in the moment was a challenge today because the younger cat decided to just act completely crazy for most of the practice. He usually behaves during yoga but not today- today he jumped into walls, screamed at shadows, and tried to eat a cardboard box, amongst other things. And then he didn’t want to pose for a photo.

  19. Day 21 - Strength

I had to modify the side planks about 1/3rd of the way through on each side with one knee down- but did them for longer than I thought I could.

Loved the quote from Adriene today because it’s a reminder that life is about forever changing- not about achieving milestones.

Life is a process of becoming, a combination of states we have to go through.
Where people fail is that they wish to elect a state and remain in it.
This is a kind of death.

  20. Day 20 - Restore

I have a big day today and my body is definitely starting to feel this yoga journey- so I was grateful for a quick restorative practice. I also really liked that cat/cow variation on the elbows. I’d never done that before.

For those on this journey we are 2/3rds of the way through! I cannot believe how this month has flown.

Today’s picture is of a gift of a Ganesh statue we received on a trip to India almost 10 years ago for my 30th birthday.

    #ywaCenter #yogawithadriene

  21. Day 19 - Play

Was it just me or did we do one of the balance poses on just the right side?!?

Tagged on a 20 minute run afterwards. One of the things I love about Cerritos is this lovely running path near the business center.

    #ywaCenter #yogawithadriene

  22. Day 18 - Gaze

This was a hard one for me. Not the poses- but focusing on my gaze without getting focused on the specific thing I was looking at and while not letting my mind wander. (Also tacked on a weights mini-warmup before hand.)

The light in my apartment was doing some cool things on the wall I was facing- seemed kind of appropriate for this practice.

    #ywaCenter #yogawithadriene

  23. Day 17 - Move

This was such a unique practice. I don’t think I’ve ever done so much (as my non-yoga friend said when he saw the picture) arm sorcery. And I’ve definitely never done it while in a lunge- crazy balance work!

My shoulders are super tight so this was really great for me getting to focus so much on eagle arms. And I enjoyed some of the pampering for my knees with the blanket.

    #ywaCenter #yogawithadriene

  24. Day 16 - Kind

I still haven’t figured out how to do action yoga shots in the new apartment- but I wanted to capture a bit of me putting in the “work”. (P.S. Aren’t my Lorica leggings cool?)

Also, a reminder to be kind to myself in these practice photos. I know I’ll never look like 99% of yoga instructors and influencers. But yoga is still a safe place for me even if I’m a curvy size 10/12.

  25. I recently got some amazing feedback on two MCLEs I did in October of last year about #classactions.

I also had someone reach out last week about a MCLE I had recorded way back in 2018 about summary judgment motions in employment litigation cases.

And if this is the response I get from my boring old legal presentations, just imagine how amazing I am as a regular keynote speaker.
