Here's my first postWell, I was scheduled to get my first day of training, visiting a place where house-less people are camped, to help some of them move into permanent housing which has been setup. But it was rescheduled to Monday. It's pretty cold but the weather's calm today, although I've heard there may be some more severe storms this weekend. I hope that everybody who's struggling can stay safe a little longer. #HouselessPeople

Yes, here too.
At the po i worked at (for 8yrs), i had 2 coworkers commit suicide and 2 more die of cancer, out of 50 staff. Every single clerk had been forced to repay thousands of dollars of financial losses we were blamed for (I'm very certain the ancient buggy software was at fault at least some times- but very hard to prove).
They almost killed me several times, too (denying my approved accommodations such as a break to take insulin etc), harassed, etc.

Of course the line between mental and physical gets blurry when we talk about "fringe" stuff like HU (#HypoglycemicUnawareness), #HAAF (Hypoglycemia Associated Autonomic Failure), "type 3 diabetes" (#alzheimers) or even the interactions between catecholamine responses and bloodsugar in non diabetics with #PTSD. Ps- not a doctor but I've been treating my own #t1d for 37 yrs ;)

As always I love Democracy Now and Amy Goodman's interviews and this story is really powerful for me because of the deeply humanizing way his Mom and sister Laila and Sanaa Seif share their experiences, both trying to help him stay alive and in continuing to work on civil rights and climate justice.

@kitten_tech what you're describing sounds so much like the difficult amorphic internal obstacles I'm wrestling with every day. I really appreciate how you're doing internal investigation- to discern challges and work around them. All we can do is keep trying different strategies, right?
