And also, the other part of the #FreeSoftware OS family, the #BSDs! #OpenBSD, #FreeBSD, #NetBSD, #DragonflyBSD and derivatives, take a bow!

I'm not sure Kendrick would approve of the way I mishear his lyrics...

It's not Thanksgiving, but I sure am thankful for my co-workers. We deal with a lot of incidents at work given the volume of clusters we run and support, and it never fails: when an incident is declared, a number of folks hop on the call immediately, and their knowledge and desire to help out is immediately evident. I love working here, with the folks on my team.
You all are the best!

I have to keep reminding myself of the differences in cultural practices when communicating with members of my team from around the world. I sometimes will see a comment that comes across as *super* rude, or dismissive or pushy, but every. single. time. it's just a difference in culture and not intended that way.
It's worth while to stop and consider that any time you see such a thing. "Assume positive intent" with regards to your co-workers and/or customers.

I didn't realize quite how much I missed going to the main office and seeing everyone in person, until this meeting remotely and I saw everyone gathered around in the conference room in person and I got the overwhelming feeling of "Hey, I know that person! And that person! And I can hear them talking! ...But I'm looking in through a really, really, really far away window."
Remote work is dope, especially from a tropical island, but I miss my coworkers and friends.

Ok, hear me out... *Bloodletting*
You got high blood pressure? Let some blood out - say, a gil, maybe - blood pressure goes down.
Sure, it eventually get replenished. But until it does, pressure is lower right? That's why you get light headed when you give blood.
So, if you have high blood pressure, what if you donated blood semi-regularly? Two birds with one stone. Blood banks fill up, and you get a free cookie. Big pharma loses a profit stream.
