Fahrrad Demo und Kundgebung an Mumias 70. Geburtstag Free Mumia - Free Them All!
Am Mittwoch, den 24. April 2024 wird der afroamerikanische Journalist und politische Gefangene #Mumia Abu-Jamal 70 Jahre alt. Bis jetzt musste der #BlackPanther einen Grossteil davon in Haft verbringen. Seit über 42 (!) Jahren kämpft Mumia aus der Haft heraus gegen #Rassismus, #Ausbeutung und #Krieg. Als zig-tausendfach veröffentlichter #Radiojournalist und Autor von bisher 11 Büchern hat er nicht nur innerhalb der #Masseninhaftierung in den USA viele Menschen motiviert, sondern ist heute fester Bestandteil einer abolitionistischen Bewegung, die alle Merkmale der seit der #Sklaverei anhaltenden #WhiteSupremacy, der weissen Vorherrschaft abschaffen wird. Weder Hinrichtungsbefehle noch 29 Jahre #Isolationshaft oder die völlig unzureichende #Gesundheitsversorgung haben Mumia je davon abbringen können, an einem der grausamsten Orte des sozialen Krieges der Reichen gegen die Armen laut und deutlich die "Voice of the Voiceless", die Stimme der Unterdrückten zu sein. Er selbst gibt unter den harten #Lebensbedingungen des Gefängnisalltags alles und ruft immer wieder zur #Selbstorganisation auf, um endlich profitorientierte #Gefängnisse - die Orte der aktuellen #Sklaverei unter anderem Namen - oder die rassistische #Todesstrafe abzuschaffen. "Wer keinen #Krieg will, muss den #Kapitalismus abschaffen" oder auch "Auf uns hoffen mehr Menschen, als wir ahnen (1) " bedeuten für ihn und ca. 2,14 Millionen andere #Gefangene in den USA eine Hoffnung auf Leben und Freiheit.
Wir alle wissen, dass die Zerstörung des Planeten eine völlig andere Lebensweise erfordert. Kapitalistische Ausplünderung der Mehrheit der Menschen und der Natur drohen, uns alle zu vernichten. Dass Faschist*innen verschiedener Coleur nun auch noch grossen Zuspruch in den Industriestaaten erfahren, um diesen Wahnsinn weiter zu verlängern, macht die Dringlichkeit umso deutlicher: ""Manche sagen, es sei unvernünftig, Widerstand gegen dieses gewalttätige System zu leisten. Ich denke, es ist unvernünftig, das nicht zu tun." (Mumia Abu-Jamal).
Lasst uns Mumias bisherige Lebensleistung würdigen! Zusammen gegen Rassismus, Ausbeutung und Krieg!
