I hate #PENDMAS because it is misleading.
There are three #arithmetic #operations: #additions, #multiplications and #powers. They are #geometric expansions similar to a #line to a #square to a #cube.
The other three: #subtraction, #division, and #roots are no different than the above except in #direction. They are geometric #reductions.
To truly understand one you must understand the other.

I never made any of the finals teams, but I was in the competitions at Cal Poly SLO and UC Davis.
One of my favorite classes I ever took. Not bad for a psych major.

Every time I poke my nose back into Twitter I’m surprised at school-yard insults as “normal conversation”.
The #Thunberg #Tate #Twitter spat is a great example. No real conversation or information, simply #namecalling #oneupmanship. This gets more attention than nearly every other Tweet ever.
Silly humans are playing #CaptureTheFlag on #socialmedia.
#RealConversation is important.

I was #educated in the 70’s but I am a lifelong #learner.
One thing I’ve noticed is that in much of #science and #history that was taught all the way into #college was incorrect or misrepresented. Plate tectonics was strictly a “#theory”, as evolution and genetics were presented. Erich Von Däniken was taken nearly as seriously as Carl Sagan.
#Wikipedia later generated a lot of #fear. We were #warned against using it.
I love Wiki!
#Knowledge and #information have come a long ways.
