The fear of the unknown is an evolutionary curse that pervades all of humanity.
Maybe, however it is not the unknown we should fear, but the known.

  9. I guess I've seen the last of the trick or treaters. They were all thrillingly surprised with how many sweets they got from me. A few complimented me on my costume.

Alien costumes were unusually popular this year.

My Indian housemates liked the various lights on my Hallowe'en decorations. They aren't Diwali lights, but they're still something.

You'll often hear it referred to as #Samhain, but this is incorrect. Samhain actually falls on 1 November, and Hallowe'en is Samhain Eve. Just as Nollaig (Christmas) is preceeded by Oíche Nollaig, so Samhain is prcedded by #OícheShamhna (Halloweeen)

    Well, more or less.

  15. It's #Halloween today, so I have prepared for the visitors that will probably start to call in a few hours!

I am giving a healthy option in the form of apples (and also have some packs of microwavable popcorn for groups so that they can have it freshly made!).

One of the buckets is all vegan sweets - not intentional, but nice to have options. The other bucket isn't vegan (probably gelatine)
